Description: This paper aims at the dynamic properties of the proposed globally planned economic systems named after CPE proposed by Loo-Keng Hua who is one of the worldwide famous Chinese mathematicians. First, we give new existence conditions of growth balanced solution to the model. Second, we lead into the concept of stability for balanced output and carry out a theorem that deals with some equivalent conditions for judging a solution of output starting from the fact that any initial input can whether approach the existing balanced solution or not. Third, a new dynamic price system related to interest factors is proposed here and it is demonstrated that the new price equation is a much generalized one in comparison with the original price one which is only a special case of this new price equation. Also, relationships of the balanced solutions between the price and the output equation are investigated and the stability analysis is studied as well for the new price system. Finally, two examples are employed to illustrate the technical operation of input-output method and some new contributions of this article.

Description: To estimate the surface air temperature by remote sensing, the advection-energy balance for the surface air temperature (ADEBAT) model is developed which assumes the surface air temperature is driven by the local driving force and the advective driving force. The local driving force produces a local surface air temperature whereas the advective driving force changes it by adding an exotic air temperature. An advection factor is defined to measure the quantity of the exotic air brought by the advection. Since the is determined by the advection, this paper improves it to a regional scale by using the Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) method whereas the original ADEBAT model uses a constant of for a block of area. Results retrieved by the improved ADEBAT (IADEBAT) model are evaluated and comparison was made with the in situ measurements, with an (correlation coefficient) of 0.77, an RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) of 0.31 K, and a MAE (Mean Absolute Error) of 0.24 K. The evaluation shows that the IADEBAT model has higher accuracy than the original ADEBAT model. Evaluations together with a -test of the MAD (Mean Absolute Deviation) reveal that the IADEBAT model has a significant improvement.

Description: In a market basket study made in Nanjing, China, in which the most common consumed nine kinds of vegetables foodstuffs were sampled, the contents of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were analyzed using gas chromatography with mass spectrometer detector (GC-MS). The results showed that the total amount of 16 PAHs was within the range of 60.5~312 ng g−1 (wet weight). The ranking of total concentrations for different types of vegetables in decreasing order was leafy vegetable, fruit vegetable, and rhizome vegetable. Source analysis suggested that coal, oil, or other incomplete combustion of biomass mainly contributed to the concentration of PAHs. The margin of exposure (MOE) approach with age/gender group-specific daily dietary exposure level was used to estimate the carcinogenic risk. The calculated total mean MOE in the case of BaP and PAH4 (sum of BaA, CHR, BbF, and BaP) was 14960 and 7723, respectively, for local residents. In addition, the MOEs in PAH4 for some groups of both male and female were below the critical limit of 10 000 proposed by EFSA. Therefore, health effect owing to the consumption of vegetables on local residents needs high concern.

Description: Virtual testability demonstration test brings new requirements to the fault sample generation. First, fault occurrence process is described by stochastic process theory. It is discussed that fault occurrence process subject to minimal repair is nonhomogeneous Poisson process (NHPP). Second, the interarrival time distribution function of the next fault event is proposed and three typical kinds of parameterized NHPP are discussed. Third, the procedure of fault sample generation is put forward with the assumptions of minimal maintenance and scheduled replacement. The fault modes and their occurrence time subject to specified conditions and time period can be obtained. Finally, an antenna driving subsystem in automatic pointing and tracking platform is taken as a case to illustrate the proposed method. Results indicate that both the size and structure of the fault samples generated by the proposed method are reasonable and effective. The proposed method can be applied to virtual testability demonstration test well.

Description: In recent years, wireless sensor networks have been widely employed in monitoring agriculture. With social development, large-scale agriculture monitoring by satellite sensor network attracts increasing concerns as well as the transmission problem of plentiful agriculture data. In this paper, we propose a new method of constrained route based on the metric of delay and capacity (CR-MDC) to find route path in satellite sensor network, with the aim of achieving congestion avoidance of network for transferring a large amount of data while monitoring large-scale agriculture. We model the rosette constellation network according to network characteristics through a discrete-time figure and formulate the scheme as a binary integer programming problem in consideration of time-variant parameters, for example, link capacity and link delay. The performance of the constrained route algorithm is compared with the Dijkstra-based routing protocols proposed in existing literature. Moreover, an improved CR-MDC under a route similarity constraint is developed to reduce the handoff times in adjacent slots. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme exhibits lower blocking probability and maximum link utilization but higher average network delay than Dijkstra-based routing while the improved CR-MDC has a higher route similarity than CR-MDC.

Description: Three-dimensional numerical calculation was performed to investigate the effects of partial blockage inside cylindrical film holes on the film cooling effectiveness over a flat plate. Five blockage ratios ranged from 0.1 to 0.5 and a series of blockage positions were considered under the blowing ratios of 0.3–1.5. It is found that the blockage position has a significant influence on mainstream-coolant jet interaction. The partial blockage located at the leading edge of coolant-hole exit mitigates the primary vortices due to mainstream-coolant jet interaction. The coolant jet penetration along vertical direction is suppressed and the peak velocity along streamwise direction is augmented under the action of partial blockage at the upstream side of film holes, providing an increment of film cooling effectiveness, especially under high blowing ratio. While the partial blockages located at the trailing or lateral edges of coolant-hole exit weaken the film cooling effectiveness. In relation to the partial blockage located in the vicinity of coolant-hole exit, the partial blockage located in the vicinity of coolant-hole inlet or middle has less impaction on the film cooling effectiveness under low blowing ratio.

Description: A simplified physical model is built up to study the swirl flow effect induced by a rotating disk on the jet impingement behaviors, which is adopted to simulate the grinding process. To solve the definition problem of the interface between a rotating disk and a stationary plate in the computational simulation, a tiny gap is set between the rotating disk and the stationary plate. The results show that the rotating disk suspended above the surface adds more complexity to the flow field of jet impingement on a stationary plate. The swirling flow around the rotating disk obstructs the impinging jet flow to penetrate into the interfacial contact zone and forces the wall jet across the rotating disk to flow along transverse directions. For the given jet impinging velocity and nozzle orientation, as the disk rotational speed increases, the effect of the rotating disk on the impinging jet flow behaves more significantly. The impinging jet with small inject velocity is difficult to penetrate through the interfacial contact zone to follow by the disk swirl flows. For smaller jet impinging distance or larger oblique angle, the flow recirculation away from the interfacial contact zone becomes stronger.

Description: Acceleration-based displacement measurement approach is often used to measure the polish rod displacement in the oilfield pumping well. Random noises and trend terms of the accelerometer signals are the main factors that affect the measuring accuracy. In this paper, an efficient online learning algorithm is proposed to improve the measurement precision of polish rod displacement in the oilfield pumping well. To remove the random noises and eliminate the trend term of accelerometer signals, the ARIMA model and its parameters are firstly derived by using the obtained data of time series of acceleration sensor signals. Secondly, the period of the accelerometer signals is estimated through the Rife-Jane frequency estimation approach based on Fast Fourier Transform. With the obtained model and parameters, the random noises are removed by employing the Kalman filtering algorithm. The quadratic integration of the period is calculated to obtain the polish rod displacement. Moreover, the windowed recursive least squares algorithm is implemented to eliminate the trend terms. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed online learning algorithm is able to remove the random noises and trend terms effectively and greatly improves the measurement accuracy of the displacement.

Description: The mobile wireless sensor network (MWSN) is a new style WSN with mobile sinks or sensors in the network. MWSN has advantages over static WSN in the aspect of better energy efficiency, improved coverage, and superior channel capacity. However, mobile nodes also bring some security problems. For example, it is difficult to ensure secure communications among the mobile nodes and static nodes. In this paper, we design a lightweight mobile reauthentication protocol for mobile nodes. The designed protocol provides forward secure pairwise key for the mobile node when it moves from one cluster to another. Thus, the mobile sensor node can be authenticated by the new cluster head, and the privacy of his origin area is protected. In addition, the security and performance analysis shows that our scheme meets the need of lower communication and computation overhead, while achieving security requirement for mobile sensor node application in MWSN.

Description: At the beginning, a comparative analysis was made on the oxidation corrosion rate and ash content of A3-3 matrix graphite (MG) pebbles lathed before and after high temperature purification (HTP) treatment. Their oxidation corrosion rate and ash contents were almost identical, which indicated that the HTP process was to purify the entire MG pebbles and not limited on the surfaces. Furthermore, the multiple mechanical and thermal properties of MG treated without and with the treatment of HTP at ~1900°C were compared and their microstructure features were characterized as well. As the crush strength, oxidation corrosion rate, and erosion rate of MG without HTP treatment did not satisfy the specifications, the comprehensive properties and purity of MG with HTP were improved in various degrees through the HTP process so that all performances met the requirements of the A3-3 MG. The improvement of crush strength and erosion rate of MG in the HTP process could be mainly attributed to the upgradation of ordered microstructure and corresponding increase of density. However, the enhancement of oxidation corrosion rate was due to the synergistic effects of microstructural optimization and reduction of impurity elements, especially the transition metal elements of MG in the HTP process.
