Description: A reliable nonlinear dynamic model of the quadrotor is presented. The nonlinear dynamic model includes actuator dynamic and aerodynamic effect. Since the rotors run near a constant hovering speed, the dynamic model is simplified at hovering operating point. Based on the simplified nonlinear dynamic model, the PID controllers with feedback linearization and feedforward control are proposed using the backstepping method. These controllers are used to control both the attitude and position of the quadrotor. A fully custom quadrotor is developed to verify the correctness of the dynamic model and control algorithms. The attitude of the quadrotor is measured by inertia measurement unit (IMU). The position of the quadrotor in a GPS-denied environment, especially indoor environment, is estimated from the downward camera and ultrasonic sensor measurements. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed dynamic model and control algorithms are demonstrated by experimental results. It is shown that the vehicle achieves robust vision-based hovering and moving target tracking control.

Description: A generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation, which describes the propagation of the femtosecond pulse in single mode optical silica fiber, is analytically investigated. By virtue of the Darboux transformation method, some new soliton solutions are generated: the bright one-soliton solution on the zero background, the dark one-soliton solution on the continuous wave background, the Akhmediev breather which delineates the modulation instability process, and the breather evolving periodically along the straight line with a certain angle of -axis and -axis. Those results might be useful in the study of the femtosecond pulse in single mode optical silica fiber.

Description: Capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUTs) are one of the appealing MEMS devices. Most studies treat CMUTs as rigid plates vibrating in open air, ignoring the mechanical boundary conditions for simplification and resulting in cumulative errors in coupled fields. This paper presents a new analytical model for the pull-in characteristics of the flat circular CMUT cell featuring sealed cavity. Utilizing the plate theory coupled with Boyle’s law, the paper establishes a strong relation between the pressures inside the sealed cavity and the pull-in characteristics for the first time. Not only did we point out that the existence of the pressure inside the sealed cavity cannot be omitted, but we also quantified the direct effect of the pressure ratios on the pull-in phenomenon. The pull-in voltages increase while the pull-in ratios decrease with the pressure ratios of the pressure inside the sealed cavity to the ambient pressure. The proposed calculation process delivers a good approximation of the pull-in voltages and displacements, which are consistent with COMSOL simulation results. Particularly, the percentage error of our calculation process is 6.986% for the worst case. Therefore, our proposed analytical model accurately and efficiently predicts the pull-in characteristics and this paper offers new perspectives and reference value in designing and modeling the CMUTs.

Description: In capable person governing agricultural cooperatives, the internal governance is essential for cooperatives to achieve sustainable development. As an important mechanism of cooperative internal governance, relational governance is the focus of the current research in the field of cooperative internal governance. Based on the theory of organizational justice, relational embeddedness theory, and relational governance theory, this paper constructs the relationship between interactive justice, relational embeddedness, and governance performance based on fuzzy cognitive map and discusses the influence mechanism of interactive justice on relational governance performance. Taking 245 members of 18 agricultural cooperatives as samples, this paper makes an empirical test by using the machine learning method. Through the analysis of the data, we find that interactive justice has a significant positive impact on the governance performance. Relational embeddedness also has a significant positive impact on the governance performance. And relational embeddedness plays an intermediary role in the positive impact of interactive justice on governance performance. To some extent, the research results broaden the relationship between interactive justice and relational governance performance and provide useful reference for cooperatives to strengthen internal governance and achieve sustainable growth.

Description: In this paper, the problem of finite-time tracking is investigated for switched buck power converters based on the pulse width modulation (PWM) technique. For the continuous model, an equivalent continuous controller is solved by the backstepping technique, such that all signals are finite-time stable. PWM-based finite-time tracking with the equivalent control input is proposed for the switched buck converter, such that the tracking error converges to an arbitrarily small neighborhood of the origin in finite time, and the origin of the closed-loop system is practically finite-time stable. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed schemes.

Description: In this paper, we use the dynamic mechanism of biological evolution to simulate the enterprises’ bounded rational game. We construct game models of network embedding behaviors of horizontal and vertical enterprises in supply chain, explain the repeated games of random pairs of enterprises by replication dynamic differential equations, study the characteristics and evolution trend of this flow, conduct simulation experiments, clarify the evolution direction and law of network embedding strategy selection of supply chain enterprises, and discuss the stable state of evolutionary game and its dynamic convergence process. The results show that the probability of supply chain enterprises choosing a network embedding strategy is related to the enterprises’ special assets investment cost, cooperation cost, network income, and cooperation benefits. Supply chain enterprises should reduce the special assets investment cost and cooperation cost, maximize network income and cooperation income, narrow the gap between the extra-cooperation profit and the current cooperation profit, and restrain them from violating cooperation contracts or taking opportunistic actions.

Description: In order to improve the clarity of image fusion and solve the problem that the image fusion effect is affected by the illumination and weather of visible light, a fusion method of infrared and visible images for night-vision context enhancement is proposed. First, a guided filter is used to enhance the details of the visible image. Then, the enhanced visible and infrared images are decomposed by the curvelet transform. The improved sparse representation is used to fuse the low-frequency part, while the high-frequency part is fused with the parametric adaptation pulse-coupled neural networks. Finally, the fusion result is obtained by inverse transformation of the curvelet transform. The experimental results show that the proposed method has good performance in detail processing, edge protection, and source image information.

Description: Varying coefficient models have widely been applied to many practical fields for exploring dynamic patterns of the regression relationships. In this study, we propose a robust scenario of SiZer (significant zero crossing of derivatives) inference approach based on the local least absolute deviation fitting procedure and the bootstrap confidence interval to uncover the statistically significant features of the coefficient functions in a varying coefficient model under different smoothing scales. The simulation study shows that the proposed SiZer approach is quite robust to outliers and performs well in finding the significant features of the coefficient functions. Furthermore, a real environmental data set is analyzed to demonstrate the application of the proposed approach.

Description: The transport network structure plays a crucial role in transport dynamics. To better understand the property of the bus network in big city and reasonably configure the bus lines and transfers, this paper seeks to take the bus network of Beijing as an example and mainly use space L and space P to analyze the network topology properties. The approach is applied to all the bus lines in Beijing which includes 722 lines and 5421 bus station. In the first phase of the approach, space L is used. The results show that the bus network of Beijing is a scale-free network and the degree of more than 99 percent of nodes is lower than 10. The results also show that the network is an assortative network with 46 communities. In a second phase, space P is used to analyze the property of transfer. The results show that the average transfer time of Beijing bus network which is 1.88 and 99.8 percent of arbitrary two pair nodes is reachable within 4 transfers.

Description: The leader-following consensus problem of higher order multiagent systems is considered. The dynamics of each agent are given in general form of linear system, and the communication topology among the agents is assumed to be directed and switching. To track the leader, two kinds of distributed observer-based consensus protocols are proposed for each following agent, whose distributed observers are used to estimate the leader’s state and tracking error based on the relative outputs of the neighboring agents, respectively. Some sufficient consensus conditions are established by using parameter-dependent Lyapunov function method under a class of directed interaction topologies. As special cases, the consensus conditions for balanced and undirected interconnection topology cases can be obtained directly. The protocol design technique is based on algebraic graph theory, Riccati equation, and Sylvester equation. Finally, a simulation example is given to illustrate our obtained result.
