    Multi-objective Mixed Integer Programming approach for facility layout design by considering closeness ratings, material handling, and re-layout cost (2016)

    Description: Facility layout becomes one of production system factor that should be managed well, as it is designated for the location of production. In managing the layout, designing the layout by considering the optimal layout condition that supports the work condition is essential. One of the method for facility layout optimization is Mixed Integer Programming (MIP). In this study, the MIP is solved using Lingo 9.0 software and considering quantitative and qualitative objectives to be achieved simultaneously: minimizing material handling cost, maximizing closeness rating, and minimizing re-layout cost. The research took place in Rekayasa Wangdi as a make to order company, focusing on the making of concrete brick dough stirring machine with 10 departments involved. The result shows an improvement in the new layout for 333,72 points of objective value compared with the initial layout.     Description: This paper presents the development of an assessment models for manufacturing quality using Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic (IT2-FL). The proposed model is developed based on one of building block in sustainable supply chain management (SSCM), which is benefit of SCM, and focuses more on quality. The proposed model can be used to predict the quality level of production chain in a company. The quality of production will affect to the quality of product. Practically, quality of production is unique for every type of production system. Hence, experts opinion will play major role in developing the assessment model. The model will become more complicated when the data contains ambiguity and uncertainty. In this study, IT2-FL is used to model the ambiguity and uncertainty. A case study taken from a company in Yogyakarta shows that the proposed manufacturing quality assessment model can work well in determining the quality level of production.

    Description: In production planning, Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is usually developed based on time-bucket system, a period in the MRP is representing the time and usually weekly. MRP has been successfully implemented in Make To Stock (MTS) manufacturing, where production activity must be started before customer demand is received. However, to be implemented successfully in Make To Order (MTO) manufacturing, a modification is required on the conventional MRP in order to make it in line with the real situation. In MTO manufacturing, delivery schedule to the customers is defined strictly and must be fulfilled in order to increase customer satisfaction. On the other hand, company prefers to keep constant number of workers, hence production lot size should be constant as well.     Description: Solar chimney is an energy generator that utilizes solar thermal energy. The working principle air is heated in the solar collector, the increased temperature causes downward pressure, and the air density becomes reduced to create a buoyance force or air moving upward through the chimney. This research aimed to investigate the theoretical design in determining dimension of solar chimney and experimental data test. The solar chimney made with collector roof area of 1.3225 m 2 with clear glass as thick as 5 mm. Chimney is made from PVC pipe with 83 mm inner diameter and high 193 cm. The material of solar chimney made of aluminum pipe. Experimental data was taken on March 2017 from 11:00 AM to 15:00 (3 PM).     Description: The prohibition of the use of fishing gear trawls in Indonesia’s fishing territory requires fishermen to make replacements of fishing gear against their boats. The replacement of fishing gear on the boat affects the performance of the boat. This study was conducted to determine the extent to which the replacement can be applied to traditional fishing boat Trawls North Coast of Central Java. The study focused on the ring net and gill net as a catch tool. Based on the results of stability and seakeeping analysis, it can be concluded that the replacement of fishing gear is influenced by the loading factor of the used fishing gear equipment. The vessel with the replacement of the ring net and gill net has a stability below the value of stabilities owned by the traditional trawler of Juwana.     Description: The growth of urban areas in Bogor City physically marked by rapid growth in the urban fringe, where its growth tend to be widespread and dispersed randomly as well getting out of control (urban sprawl phenomenon). Urban sprawl resulted in the loss of green space and has caused many environmental impacts associated with the reduction of public green open space. The public green open space (GOS) in urban fringe area are essential for guiding sustainable urban development in response to urban sprawl phenomenon. The objective of this study is to assess the quality of public GOS in district of Tanah Sareal Bogor City. Analysis were done by using Worldview 2 imagery year 2015 through NDVI method. The study demonstrated that in the current area of GOS still meets the rules, but the quality level of public (GOS) are varies where the best quality is public GOS in Kelurahan Sukaresmi and the worst is public GOS in district of Kedungwaringin.

    Prevalence of intestinal helminth parasites in wild and soft-release Bornean Orangutan ( Pongo pygmaeus ) in Lamandau Wildlife reserve, Central Kalimantan (2018)

    Description: Faeces samples were collected from 35 orangutans in Lamandau Wildlife Reserve. The orangutan consists of wild and soft release orangutan in four camp (Gemini, JL, Rasak, Buluh). Samples were collected in November until December 2017. Faeces were examined to measure the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasite in wild and soft-release orangutan. The examination performed by flotation and sedimentation (formalin-ethyl acetate concentration). The results showed the percentage of orangutan infected with gastrointestinal parasite was 91,4%. High prevalences were found for Strongyloides sp. (68,6%), Hookworm (71,4%), Enterobius sp. (20%) and Trichuris sp. (17,1%). Most orangutan infected with mixed infection parasite (62,8%) dominated by a combination between Strongyloides sp. and hookworm and only 28,6% infected with single infection.

    Description: This paper explores a consequence of metropolitan and development centers policy to the development progress of coastal territories by analyzing municipal website base on urban communication functions of communicative city concept. In terms of coastal territories as a part of development center, efforts have to be made in enhancing the role and function of municipal website to show their development progress. Perceptual analysis is taken as a method to measure their position, especially kabupaten/kota as coastal territories in regional context (West Java Province). The results indicate that the availability of public information in coastal territories cities lower than other cities in metropolitan area. Innovation in specifying coastal features has to be promoted in illustrating development progress of coastal territories as a part of development centers in West Java Province.

    Calcium modified edible Canna ( Canna edulis L) starch for controlled released matrix (2017)

    Description: Canna edulis L starch was modified with calcium chloride in order to form controlled released matrix. Present study aim to analyze modified starch characteristic. Four different formulation of ondansetron granules was used to provide dissolution profile of controlled released, two formula consisted of 15% and 30% modified starch, one formula utilized matrix reference standards and the last granules was negative control. Methocel-hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose was used as controlled released matrix reference standards in the third formula. Calcium starch was synthesized in the presence of sodium hydroxide to form gelatinized mass and calcium chloride as the cross linking agent. Physicochemical and dissolution properties of modified starch for controlled released application were investigated.
