    Notizen: The enhancement technique is basically the measurement of the ac susceptibility in the presence of a second biasing field (pulsed dc or ac). This useful technique will be adopted for modification of the ac susceptometer. A proportional integral derivative controller, commonly used in temperature controllers, and a voltage to current converter with variable gain and sign, play special roles in this measurement technique. A second sinusoidal ac field (in addition to the measuring field) is used as the biasing field. The technique is a very useful one to obtain quantitative information about domain wall pinning, domain contribution to magnetization, etc. in the magnetic systems. © 1997 American Institute of Physics.

    Notizen: We present the details of an automated flux-type magnetometer that uses numerical integration of the voltage induced in the sensing coils when the sample is moved. The Tchebycheff quadrature method of numerical integration has been used to achieve high accuracy in the integrated output. In relevance to this, we also present design and construction of an electronic circuit (integration limit setting circuit) together with the software for data acquisition using a Z-80 microprocessor. We discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this particular method with reference to others. We also discuss the calibration of this magnetometer. © 1996 American Institute of Physics.
