Article III–V semiconductors are promising platform for qubits, but strong coupling to lattice phonons enhances decoherence of qubit states that have a charge dipole. Here, the authors show that a microwave analogue to the Raman effect can lead to rapid dephasing of qubits based on GaAs double quantum dots.
