    Notes: Zusammenfassung Die Hyperfeinstruktur der wichtigeren Bogenlinien des Thalliums wurde mit einem reflektierenden Stufengitter hohen Auflösungsvermögens untersucht; als Lichtquelle diente eine elektrodenlose Entladung durch eine gekühlte Röhre, die Neon, Helium und Thallochlorid enthielt. Die grüne Linie erwies sich als ein Quartett, das aus zwei engen Dubletts ungleicher Intensität besteht; die ultraviolette Resonanzlinie ist ein Sextett, das aus drei engen Dubletts zusammengesetzt ist. Der Aufbau aus engen Dubletts wurde auch bei den Linien der diffusen Serie beobachtet. Diese Struktur kann man in Übereinstimmung mit Schüler und Keyston durch das Vorhandensein zweier Thalliumisotope erklären, die denselben Kernspin 1/2 haben, deren Linien aber etwas gegeneinander verschoben sind.
