Summary Potassium-α-naphthacetylglycinate, administered in a concentration of approximately 0,001 % active substance, stimulates the growth ofSalvinia natans L. The controls are placed in a solution of the samep H. With other concentrations we notice a diminution in the size of the different parts of the plant, and particularly a variation of the sporocarps. The chief rib of the aquatic leaf, under the action of this product in the concentration mentioned, increases its growth. But this rib plays the part of a real aquatic root. This observation allows us to interpret the peculiar action of potassium-α-naphthacetylglycinate.
