Notes: Für das Additionsprodukt von N2O5 an Phenanthren von Julius Schmidt wird die von diesem vorgeschlagene Konstitution I widerlegt und dafür IV experimentell bewiesen. Die thermische Spaltung liefert Biphenanthryl-(9.9′) und nicht Diphenanthryl-(9)-äther, wie von Schmidt ausgesagt, die methylat-katalysierte nahezu äquimolare Mengen von Phenanthren und 9-Nitro-phenanthren.
