Summary The linear amides from adipic acid and 1,6-diamino-hexane with terminal propionyl-hexamethylenediamine groups C2H5 · CO-[B-A]n-B-COC2H5 (n=0–3) as well as with terminal propyl adipic acid amide groups C3H7NH-A-[B-A]n-NHC3H7 (n=0–5) have been synthesized by the mixed anhydride method. The melting point-curve of the bis-propylamides approaches the melting point of the polymer asymptotically. The last members of this series crystallize in a polymer lattice and show low angle X-ray reflexions which are independent of the lenght of the molecules but are dependent upon temperature of crystallization.

Zusammenfassung Die linearen Amide aus Adipinsäure und 1.6-Diaminohexan mit endständigem Propionyl-hexamethylendiamin C2H5 · CO-[B-A]n-B-COC2H5 (n=0–3) sowie mit endständigem Propyladipinamid C3H7NH-A[B-A]n-NHC3H7 (n=0–5) wurden nach der Anhydridmethode synthetisiert. Die Schmelzpunktskurve der Bispropylamide nähert sich asymptotisch dem Schmelzpunkt des Hochpolymeren. Die letzten Glieder dieser Reihe kristallisieren in einem Hauptvalenzkettengitter und zeigen moleküllängenunabhängige, aber temperaturabhängige Röntgenlangperioden.
