On the chemistry of bauxite extraction. I. Studies in the system Na2O—CaO— Al2O3-TiO2—H2O at 100°C and atmospheric pressureThe formation of crystalline compounds in the system Na2O—CaO—Al2O3—TiO2—H2O was studied at 100°C and atmospheric pressure. With low caustic alkali concentrations the calcium aluminate 3 CaO · Al2O3 · 6 H2O is formed. Two different calcium titanates, among them perovskite, CaTiO3, are identified in the case of medium alkali concentrations, while the sodium titanate Na2TiO3 is formed in highly alkaline solutions.

Es wurde untersucht, welche kristallinen Verbindungen sich in natronalkalischen Aluminatlösungen aus TiO2 und Ca(OH)2 bei 100°C unter Normaldruck bilden.Bei niedrigen Alkalikonzentrationen entsteht das Calciumaluminat 3 CaO · A12O3 · 6 H2O. Zwei verschiedene Calciumtitanate, darunter Perowskit CaTiO3, lassen sich bei mittleren Alkaligehalten der Lösungen nachweisen, während aus hochalkalischen Lösungen das Natriumtitanat Na2TiO3 kristallisiert.
