Isomerization of 2H-Pyranes by Grignard Compounds2H-Pyrans are isomerized in the presence of Grignard compounds to form the butadiene ketones 8 which in turn react with an excess of metalorganic compound to the tertiary butadiene alcohols 3. The mechanism of this reaction is established by starting with the 2H-pyrane 2c substituted in position 3, or with 13C-Methyl magnesium iodide.

2H-Pyrane isomerisieren in Gegenwart von Grignard-Verbindungen zu den Butadienketonen 8, die mit überschüssiger metallorganischer Verbindung die tertiären Butadienalkohole 3 ergeben. Der Reaktionsablauf wird durch Verwendung des in 3-Stellung substituierten 2H-Pyrans 2c bzw. von 13C-markiertem Methylmagnesiumjodid aufgeklärt.
