Notes:
Preparation, indexed X-ray powder data, unit-cell dimensions and space groups of a series of new orthorhombic basic alkali cobalt(II) sulfates are given. The general formula is M2Co3(OH)2(SO4)3.2H2O or M2SO4.2CoSO4.Co(OH)2.2H2O, M being K+, NH4+, Rb+, Cs+ or Tl+. The corresponding Na+ compound contains four water molecules instead of two.
