    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Der Einfluß des pH auf die Adsorption von Spuren Ruthenium, Mangan und Europium an Eisen (III) hydroxid wurde untersucht. Die Wirkung der Menge Adsorptionsmittel und die Dauer des Kontaktes zwischen diesem und dem Adsorbat wurden gleichfalls geprüft. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, daß Eisen(III)hydroxidniederschläge für die Anreicherung der erwähnten Spuren geeignet sind.
    Notes: Summary The effect of pH on the sorption of trace amounts of ruthenium, manganese and europium on iron(III) hydroxide was studied by radiotracer techniques. The effect of amount of sorbent and duration of the contact between the sorbate and the sorbent were also studied. The results indicate that an iron(III) hydroxide precipitate can be used for the preconcentration of traces of ruthenium, manganese and europium.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die Adsorption von Mikromengen Ga(III) an Niederschlägen von Fe(OH)3 und Fe2O3 wurde mit Hilfe von67Ga als radioaktivem Indikator untersucht. Die Abhängigkeit der Adsorption vom pH, von der Konzentration des Sorptionsmittels und von der Dauer des Kontakts zwischen Ga(III) und Fe(0H)3 wurde festgestellt. In Gegenwart von Na-Citrat wird die Sorption an Fe2O3 merklich geringer. Eisen (III)hydroxid- und Fe2O3-Niederschläge eignen sich als Kollektoren zur Anreicherung von Ga(III)-Spuren in einer Lösung.
    Notes: Summary The sorption of microamounts of gallium(III) on Fe(OH)3 and Fe2O3 precipitates was studied by using67Ga as radioactive indicator. The dependence of sorption of microamounts of gallium(III) on pH, sorbent concentration, and duration of the contact between gallium-(III) and Fe(OH)3 precipitate, was established. In the presence of sodium citrate the sorption of microamounts of gallium (III) on Fe2O3 markedly decreased. Iron(III) hydroxide and Fe2O3 precipitates are suitable collectors for the preconcentration of gallium (III) traces in solution.

Der Einfluß der Berührungsdauer zwischen adsorbierendem Hydroxid und97Ru in der Lösung wurde gleichfalls untersucht.
    Notes: Summary The effect of pH on the sorption of ruthenium-97 on Fe2O3, Fe(OH)3 and Fe(OH)2 precipitates was studied by radiotracer technique. The sorption characteristics of Fe2O3, Fe(OH)3 and Fe(OH)2 sorbents have been established. Iron(II) hydroxide can be used for the preconcentration of ruthenium-97 or generally of trace amounts of ruthenium, without regard to the oxidation state of ruthenium. The effect of duration of the contact between the hydroxide sorbent and ruthenium-97 in solution was also studied.

Eisen (III) oxidträger kann für die Anreicherung kleiner Mengen oder Spuren Co(II) verwendet werden. Der Einfluß von ÄDTA, Glycin, L(+)-Arginin und L(+)-Cystein auf die sorbierte Menge Co(II) wurde gleichfalls geprüft.
    Notes: Summary The sorption of small amounts of cobalt(II) on iron (III) oxide has been studied as a function of pH. The mechanism of sorption is discussed. Iron (III) oxide carrier can be used for the preconcentration of small or trace amounts of cobalt(II). The influence of EDTA, glycine,L(+)-arginine andL(+)-cysteine on the sorption yields of cobalt(II) has also been studied.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung In der Arbeit werden Ergebnisse von Sorptionsmessungen für Ga3+- und j-Spuren an Zinn(II)-Hydroxid aus wäßrigen heterogenen Systemen berichtet. Zur analytischen Erfassung wurden radioaktives67Ga und 131 J verwendet. Die Stabilität von Zinn(II)-Hydroxid wurde durch Trübungsmessungen untersucht. Im pH-Bereich von 3–9 ist das Zinn(II)-Hydroxid als kolloide Suspension instabil. Ga3+ und J− verhalten sich bei der Adsorption unterschiedlich. Die adsorbierte Menge steigt mit zunehmender Kontaktzeit bei hohen pH-Werten von Gallium, bleibt jedoch für Jod unverändert. Die Unterschiede werden gedeutet durch die Annahme, daß Jod nur an der festen Oberfläche adsorbiert wird, während die Galliumionen auch in das Sorbens diffundieren können. Man könnte die Ergebnisse als verträglich mit einem porösen Doppelschichtmechanismus ansehen; ein solcher Mechanismus ist in der Literatur für wäßrige heterogene Oxidsysteme vorgeschlagen worden.
    Notes: Summary The results of sorption measurements for gallium (III) and iodide ion traces onto tin(II) hydroxide from aqueous heterogeneous systems are given. Since only tagged sorbate was used (67Ga and 1311), in the determination of sorption by radioactive tracer method, it was necessary to establish the pH interval of tin(II) hydroxide in/stability. This was done by a turbidimetric method and the pH region of instability between 3 and 9 was found. The sorption results indicate a difference in sorption ability of gallium(III) and iodide as it appears from the dependence of the amount sorbed on contact time between heterogeneous reactants (sorbentsorbate). The amounts sorbed increase with increasing contact times at higher pH values for Ga(III) but remain unaffected for iodide sorption. Thus the sorption of iodide ions seems to be restricted to the solid surface while the sorption results for gallium(III) indicate the diffusion of sorbate into sorbent as a possible parallel mechanism. Those processes could be taken as compatible with the porous-double-layer mechanism which has been proposed in literature for aqueous heterogeneous oxide systems.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Lanthan(III)hydroxid-Kolloide wurden “in situ” und durch Repeptisation hergestellt. Eine regelmäßige Aggregation der Kolloidteilchen wurde nur bei “in situ” bereiteten Solen beobachtet (“SchillerSchichten”). Die Bildung der Sole ist ein verhältnismäßig langsamer Prozeß, was mit der ziemlich engen Verteilung der Teilchengr6ßen zusammenhängen k6nnte. Die “Schiller-Schichten” werden durch Schütteln zerstört. Ein durch Repeptisation gebildetes Lanthan (III)hydroxid war nadelförmig ausgebildet und nicht taktoidal aggregiert.
    Notes: Summary Lanthanum(III) hydroxide colloids have been prepared by “in situ” and repeptization method. The “in situ” colloids were aggregated in “schiller layers”. The formation of the sol is a relatively slow process which accounts for a good uniformity of the particles size. The characteristic lateral array of the colloidal particles in “Schiller layers” could be destroyed by simple shaking the sample. Lanthanum(III)hydroxide sols prepared by the repeptization method were needle-shaped and not tactoidally orientated.
