Rearrangements of Vinylogous Acyl Chlorides, XXI. Stereospecific Course of 1,5-Pentadiene-Oxygen Transfer of Perchloro-2,4-pentadienalThe title compound 1b rearranges at 80°C by way of the pyran intermediates 2b and 4b stereospecifically into the Z,Z-acylchloride 3b. At 120-140°C an equilibrium with 74% 3b and 26% of the stereoisomeric Z,E-acylchloride 5b is established via 4b. 3b and 5b may be separated by fractional distillation. Their configuration is determined by 13C-NMR spectroscopic investigations. The stereospecificity of the rearrangement lb→3b is probably caused by the „cis-effect“ of chlorine atoms, which favors ring opening of 4b in this direction.

Die Titelverbindung l b lagert sich bei 80°C über die Pyranzwischenstufen 2b und 4b stereospezifisch in das Z,Z-Säurechlorid 3b um. Bei 120-140°C stellt sich über 4b ein Gleichgewicht mit 74% 3b und 26% des stereoisomeren Z,E-Säurechlorids 5b ein. 3b und 5b können durch fraktionierende Destillation getrennt werden. Ihre (Konfiguration wird 13C-NMR-spektroskopisch bestimmt. Daß die Umlagerung von 1b stereospezifisch nur zu 3b führt, ist wahrscheinlich auf den „cis-Effekt“ der Chloratome zurückzuführen, der die Ringöffnung von 4b in dieser Richtung begünstigt.
