Notes:
In field experiments in Kent and Warwickshire a 98 per cent dazomet prill applied at 200 or 400 kg/ha or Telone II (mainly 1, 3-dichloropropene) applied at 450 or 900 l./ha reduced significantly the percentage of plants infected with clubroot and increased the mean head weight of cabbage. Dazomet prill at 400 kg/ha, incorporated to 24 cm depth, combined the best disease control (a reduction from 47 to 6 per cent plants affected) with substantial yield increase (from 781 to 949 g mean head weight).
