    Description / Table of Contents: Cyclic Titanium Amides with Sila-titana-diazacyclobutane StructureN,N′ dilithiated diaminosilanes Me2Si(NHR)2, R = i-Pr, t-Bu and Me3Si, react with TiCl4 in a 2:1 ratio to form spirocyclic titanium amides (B, C 1; see Inhaltsübersicht). In a 1:1 ratio or upon reaction with (R′2N)2TiBr2, R′ = Me, Et, titanacyclobutanes (C 2 - C 6) are obtained. Compounds with R = Me3Si exhibit particularly high thermal stability.
    Notes: N,N′-Dilithiierte Diaminosilane Me2Si(NHR)2, R = i-Pr, t-Bu und Me3Si, reagieren mit TiCl4 im Verhältnis 2:1 zu spirocyclischen Titanamiden (B, C1). Im Verhältnis 1:1 bzw. mit (R′ 2N)2TiBr2, R′ = Me, Et, bilden sich Titana-cyclobutane (C 2 - C 6). Verbindungen mit R = Me3Si zeichnen sich durch besonders hohe thermische Beständigkeit aus.

    Description / Table of Contents: Preparation and Properties of Spirocyclic Ti(IV) Amides Ti( -NMe-SiMe2-Y-Sime2-NMe-)2 with Y = NMe, 0, and CH2The title compounds have been obtained from the reaction of TiBr4 with the di-lithiated α, ω-bifunctional amines Y(SiMe2NHMe)2 in yields of about 50%. The compounds are monomeric, crystalline and of considerable stability. Their constitution has been proved by elemental analyses, 1H n.m.r., i.r., and Raman spectra. A synthesis is described for the hitherto unknown diamine CH2(SiMe2NHMe)2.
    Notes: Die Titel-Verbindungen wurden aus TiBr4 und den di-lithiierten α, ω-difunktionellen Aminen Y(SiMe2NHMe)2 in Ausbeuten von etwa 50% dargestellt. Sie sind monomer, kristallin und recht stabil; ihre Konstitution wird durch Analysen sowie 1H-KMR-, IR- und Raman-Spektren gesichert. Für den bisher unbekannten Baustein CH2(SiMe2NHMe)2 wird ein Syntheseweg angegeben.

    Description / Table of Contents: The Vibrational Spectra of Mono and Spirocyclic Five-membered Ring Systems with NSiSiN UnitsThe main features of the i.r. and Raman spectra of several derivatives of type I (El = element of groups IVb, Vb, VIb) and of type II (El = Si, Ge, Sn, Ti, Zr) are reported. The stretching vibrations of the skeleton are assigned and discussed. Variation of El causes a shift of nearly all skeletal vibrations.
    Notes: Die IR- und Raman-Spektren einer Reihe von Verbindungen vom Typ I (El = Element der IV., V. oder VI. Hauptgruppe) und Typ II (El = Si, Ge, Sn, Ti, Zr) werden auszugsweise mitgeteilt und hinsichtlich der Skelett-Streckschwingungen zugeordnet und ausgedeutet. Eine Variation von El wirkt sich auf nahezu alle Skelettschwingungen aus. .

    Description / Table of Contents: Preparation and Properties of [ (Et2N)3TiC5H4]2RuAttempts have been made to prepare dialkylamido Ti derivatives of ruthenocene, but only the title compound II which forms yellow crystals has been isolated from the reaction of Ru(C5H4Li)2 with (Et2N)3TiBr. A Tiσ—C5H4π-Ru structure is concluded from its n.m.r and i.r. spectra and the analogy to the corresponding Fe compound.
    Notes: Bei Versuchen zur Darstellung dialkylamidotitansubstituierter Ruthenocen-Derivate konnte nur [(Et2N)3TiC5H4]2Ru (11) in Form gelber Kristalle aus Ru(C5H4Li)2 und (Et2N)3TiBr isoliert werden. Aus KMR- und IR-Spektren sowie in Analogie zur entsprechenden Fe-Verbindung folgt eine Tiσ—C5H4πRu-Struktur.

    Description / Table of Contents: Spiro and Monocyclic Zr(IV) Amides Zr(L2)2 and L2ZrCl2 with L2 = (—NMe—SiMe2)2 Y (Y = NMe, O, CH2)The preparation of the spirocyclic Zr(IV) amides Zr[(NMeSiMe2)2Y]2, Y = NMe, O, CH2, by the reaction of ZrCl4 with α, ω-dilithio diamines is reported. The monomeric spiranes are cleaved by ZrCl4 to yield the monocyclic compounds Y(SiMe2NMe)2ZrCl2. These are oligomeric or polymeric; the i.r. spectra suggest a structure consisting of edge-sharing [L2ZrCl4/2] octahedra.
    Notes: Die Darstellung der spirocyclischen Zr(IV)-Amide Zr[(NMeSiMe2)2Y]2, Y = NMe, O, CH2, aus ZrCl4 und α, ω-Dilithio-diamin wird beschrieben. Die monomeren Spirane werden durch ZrCl4 in die monocyclischen Verbindungen Y(SiMe2NMe)2ZrCl2 gespalten. Letztere sind oligo- bzw. polymer; aus IR-Spektren wird auf eine Struktur mit kantenverknüpften [L2ZrCl4/2]-Oktaedern geschlossen.

    Description / Table of Contents: Spiro and Monocyclic Titanium Derivatives of Substituted Diamino PropanesSpiro and monocyclic titanium amides Ti(L2)2 and (R′2N)2TiL2 have been prepared by the reaction of TiCl4 and (R′2N)2TiBr2, respectively, with dilithiated propane diamines Li2L2 (L2 = -NR-(CH2)3-RN-). Due to their low thermal stabilities some of the compounds could only be isolated together with their decomposition products. Compared to R = Me, CHMe2 and CMe3 the thermal stability of R = Me3Si compounds is considerably greater. Analogous to similar silicon-containing ligands (L2 = NMeSiMe2YSiMe2NR) the lowered basicity of the N atoms appears to be responsible for the increased stability.
    Notes: Durch Umsetzung von TiCl4 bzw. (R′2N)2TiBr2 mit dilithiierten Diaminopropanen Li2L2 (L2 = -NR-(CH2)3-RN-) wurden spiro- und monocyclische Titanamide Ti(L2)2 bzw. (R′2N)2TiL2 dargestellt. Ti(L2)2 reagieren mit TiBr4 zu Br2TiL2. Einige der dargestellten Verbindungen konnten wegen ihrer niedrigen Zersetzungstemperaturen nur gemeinsam mit ihren Zersetzungsprodukten isoliert werden. Gruppen R = Me3Si erhöhen die thermische Beständigkeit wesentlich über R = Me, CHMe2 und CMe3 hinaus. Wie in den Sila-Analogen (L2 = NRSiMe2 YSiMe2NR) scheint die verringerte Basizität des N-Atoms für den Stabilitätszuwachs verantwortlich zu sein.
