    Notizen: Abstract The solution conformations of adenosine, guanosine and inosine in liquid ND3 have been determined by NMR. Comparison of the Karplus analysis of the proton HR spectra of the ribose moiety obtained in this solvent with the data from aqueous solutions of A and I proves that the conformations of the nucleosides are very similar in both liquids. From the analysis of the vicinal coupling constants of the ring protons it has been deduced that the S state C(2′)-endo is slightly preferred. The mole fraction in S approximates 0.6 for all three nucleosides. C-13 relaxation measurements have been applied in the determination of the correlation times for rotational diffusion.     Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Preparation, Properties, Structure, and Electronic Structure of Vanadium PentasulfideNoncrystalline V2S5 with interesting surface properties obtained by thermal decomposition of (NH4)3VS4 was investigated by vibrational spectra, small angle and wide angle X-ray scattering, photoelectron spectroscopy, and thermogravimetry. Each vanadium is surrounded by six sulfur atoms at an average distance of 234 pm and has six vanadium atoms as next neighbours at 342 pm. The short range order corresponds to a strongly disordered C6(CdI2) structure (particle size not larger than 2500 pm). The results are reported and discussed.
    Notizen: Das durch thermische Zersetzung aus (NH4)3VS4 erhaltene nichtkristalline V2S5, das interessante Oberflächeneigenschaften besitzt, wurde schwingungsspektroskopisch, mit Röntgenkleinwinkel- und -weitwinkelstreuung, photoelektronenspektroskopisch sowie thermogravimetrisch untersucht. Jedes Vanadium ist oktaedrisch von sechs Schwefelatomen im mittleren Abstand von 234 pm umgeben und hat bei 342 pm sechs weitere V-Atome als nächste Nachbarn. Die Nahordnung entspricht einem stark fehlgeordneten C6(CdI2)-Typ (Teilchengrößen geringer als 2500 pm). Die Ergebnisse werden mitgeteilt und diskutiert.

Das Schwingungsspektrum von MnO3ClDie Wechselwirkung von MnO3F mit HF und HCl wurde mit Hilfe der IR-Spektren der matrix-isolierten Substanzen untersucht. Gasförmiges MnO3F reagiert mit HCl zu MnO3Cl, und die Bildung von Komplexen des Typs MnO3F—HF ist wahrscheinlich. Isotopendaten (35/37Cl) aus Matrix-Spektren, bisher unbekannte Grundschwingungen (aus dem Festkörperspektrum) und eine Schwingungsanalyse von MnO3Cl werden mitgeteilt.
    Notizen: The interaction MnO3F with HF and HCI was studied by means of matrix-isolation infrared spectroscopy. Gaseous MnO3F reacts with HCl forming MnO3Cl; some evidence for the probable existence of MnO3F—HF complexes is also presented. Isotopic data (35/37Cl) obtained from matrix-isolation spectra unknown fundamentals (from the spectrum of the solid substance) as well as a vibrational analysis are reported for MnO3Cl.

    Notizen: U. v. photolysis (254 and 366 nm) of Cr(CO)5(CSe) isolated in an argon matrix at ca. 20 K produces a mixture of two isomeric forms of Cr(CO)4(CSe), Cr(CO)6 and molecular CO. The two Cr(CO)4(CSe) isomers are assigned square pyramidal geometries (CSe group axial, C4v symmetry; CSe group equatorial, Cs symmetry) by comparison with the results from a previous matrix isolation i.r. study of the products formed in the u.v. photolysis of the analogous thiocarbonyl complex, Cr(CO)5(CS). On further irradiation of the Cr(CO)4(CSe) species with visible light (λ 〉 425 nm), the parent Cr(CO)5(CSe) molecule is regenerated.

Kristall- und Molekularstruktur von [Mo2S4(Et2dtc)2]MoO42- wird von Diäthyldithiocarbaminat in wäßriger Lösung reduziert. Die zentrale Einheit MoO2S22+ des gebildeten [Mo2VO2S2(Et2dtc)2] weist eine große Bildungstendenz auf. [Mo2VS4(Et2dtc)2] läßt sich aus [Mo2V(S2)6]2- erhalten (Röntgenstrukturkturdaten vgl. Abstract).
    Notizen: MoO42- is reduced by diethyldithiocarbamate (Et2dtc-) on prolonged digestion in aqueous medium whereby the complex [Mo2VO2S2(Et2dtc)2] is formed. The central moiety Mo2O2S22+ has a high formation tendency. When [Mo2V(S2)6]2- is refluxed with Et2dtc- in ethanol, [Mo2VS4- (Et2dtc)2] is formed, the X-ray crystal structure of which has been determined (space group P212121, a = 10.550(2) Å, b = 13.820(5) Å, c = 14.723(12) Å, dc = 1.90 g · cm3-, Z = 4). The Mo—Mo distance of the diamagnetic compound is 2.817(2) Å and the average Mo=St distance 2.099(4) Å.

    Beschreibung: The results of baseline noise flight tests are presented. Data are given for a point 1.85 kilometers (1.0 nautical mile) from the runway threshold, and experimental results of level flyover noise at altitudes of 122 meters (400 feet) and 610 meters (2,000 feet) are also shown for several different power levels. The experimental data are compared with data from other sources and reasonable agreement is noted. A description of the test technique, instrumentation, and data analysis methods is included.
