Summary 1. The integral ratio method has been used to obtain an approximation analytical solution of the problem of sorption (or desorption) dynamics with respect to a single substance, for arbitrary S-shaped and σ-shaped isotherms. In this case, the Chromatographic front as it moves is broken up into two sections. 2. An estimate has been obtained for the distance at which a stationary regime is established for movement of the section of the Chromatographie front. 3. At large distances, the width of the tailed-out section of the front increases in proportion to the length of the column.
