    Notes: Conclusions Using polarographic determination of aldehyde and carboxyl groups in acetate fibers, figures have been obtained which characterize the kinetics and degree of photooxidative degradation of triacetate fabric. During the process of photodegradation of triacetate fabric, buildup of aldehyde groups takes place to a considerably greater extent than that of carboxyl groups, this buildup being 20 times as large in the low-molecular-weight fraction as in the high-molecular-weight one.
