Pyrazinecarbonitrile and its 15N isotopic derivative were synthesized with an isotopic content of 99.4% and then Raman and infrared spectra recorded and assigned on the basis of isotopic shifts and depolarization ratios. The geometry in an MNDO approximation was also optimized.
