Conclusions 1. After pressing, powder metallurgy silumin SAS1-50 is in a strongly stressed state. 2. The change in dimensions of parts prepared from powder metallurgy silumins occurs as the result of the action of oriented stresses causing the development of microplastic deformations changing into macroplastic. 3. The basic reasons for microplastic deformation are the presence of the oriented hardening phase and the development of processes of healing and formation of microcracks under the action of interphase stresses. 4. High-temperature thermal cycling treatment of the alloy makes it possible to increase its relaxation resistance by 20–40%.
