    Notes: Abstract A fuel cell system using molten carbonates of potassium and lithium as electrolyte was applied to the oxidative conversion of methane over Ni and Ag electrodes. A possibility of cogeneration of valuable chemicals, like C2-hydrocarbons, and electricity in such a system was demonstrated. With CO 3 2− ions (oxygen) transported electrochemically, the rate of formation of C2-hydrocarbons and selectivity for them on the Ag electrode were found to be greater than those with oxygen premixed to the gase phase.

    Notes: Abstract 2-Methyl-1-naphthol is oxidized into 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone (menadione) by air in the presence of vanadomolybdophosphoric heteropolyacids and their salts. The reaction proceeds in a biphasic system, and the yield of menadione is up to 85 %. The influence of the composition of the heteropolyacids on the rate and the selectivity of the reaction was studied, and the reaction mechanism was proposed.

Получены уравнения, описывающие кинетику спада сигнала ЭСЭ за счет дипольдипольного взаимодействия между неподвижными парамагнитными центрами, равномерно распределенными на фрактальной поверхности.
    Notes: Abstract The ESE method was successfully used for investigating the texture of the adsorbents and catalysts. Equations were obtained for the kinetics of ESE signal decay due to dipole-dipole interaction between motionless paramagnetic centers distributed uniformly on the fractal surface of solid.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Обнаружено, что осаждение водонерастворимого фталоцианина кобальта CoPc на фазу смешаной суспензии CdS/CuxS может увеличить скорость фотовыделения H2 из растворов Na2S и Na2SO3. При концентрации Na2S=5·10−2 M увеличение скорости фотокаталитической реакции почти в два раза достигается при нанесении 6.4·10−10 молей CoPc на 4·10−5 молей CdS и 2.9·10−8 молей CoPc на 10−5 молей CuxS. При концентрации Na2S=10−1 M, близкой к оптимальной нанесение CoPc приводит лишь к 30% увеличению скорости реакдии.
    Notes: Abstract Deposition of water-insoluble cobalt phthalocyanine CoPc onto the particles of mixed suspensions of CdS and CuxS can increase the rate of photoinduced evolution of H2 from Na2S and Na2SO3 solutions. At [Na2S]=5×10−2 M, the rate of photocatalytic reaction is almost doubled upon deposition of 6.4×10−10 mol CoPc onto 4×10−5 mol of CdS and of 2.9×10−8 mol of CoPc onto 10−5 mol of CuxS. At [Na2S]=10−1 M, which is close to the optimal concentration of Na2S, the deposition of CoPc can provide only a 30% increase of the reaction rate.
