    Notizen: Dispiro-1,2,4-trioxolanes by Ozonolysis of Cycloalkylidenecycloalkanes on PolyethyleneOzonolyses of symmetrical (1b - d) and of unsymmetrical cycloalkylidenecycloalkanes (8a, b) afforded the dispiro-1,2,4-trioxolanes 4b - d and 9a, b, respectively. Their thermal decompositions gave mixtures of the cyclic ketones (3) and lactones (6). Photolyses afforded in addition to 3 and 6 the cyclic anhydrides 13, which are isomeric with the corresponding dispiro-1,2,4-trioxolanes.

    Notizen: Abstract 117Te has been studied via82Se(40Ar,5n)117Te, and a new, substantially extended level scheme is proposed to I≈53/2. Our TRS calculations suggest rotational bands, but with an experimental sensitivity of ≈2%, we see none. Our results differ from those of Sharma, et al, who report two isolated E2 bands. We find them less band-like, being joined at the top and changed in content and order. We suggest a noncollective oblate shape for a new 39/2− level.

    Notizen: Abstract High-spin states in187Au have been populated in the172Yb(19F, 4n) reaction and studied with in-beam spectroscopic techniques using the “Château de Cristal” 4π-multidetector array. A comprehensive level scheme of187Au has been established. Experimental band crossing frequencies and gains in alignment were deduced. Shape coexistence in187Au, well established at low spin, is found to survive up to spin 57/2, and manifests itself through well separated oblate and prolate structures.

    Notizen: Abstract The nucleus168Hf was studied up to spin (38+) in the yrast band and to spins (41−) and (38−) in the lowest two negative-parity bands. The onset of a proton alignment (h9/2 or i13/2 quasiparticles) is observed in these three bands for the highest transitions. A new band with even spins and negative parity was found. The interaction strength between the ground-state band and theAB band is measured.

    Notizen: Abstract Excited states in162Hf were investigated up to spinI ≈ 38 using the anti-Comptonspectrometer array HERA with 21 detectors. In addition, some information was obtained on161Hf. The analysis of triple coincidences was crucial for the construction of the level schemes. The results are interpreted within the framework of the cranked shell model and are compared to neighbouring isotopes and isotones, showing Fermi level and deformation effects. The systematic behaviour of the band crossings in the Hf isotopes and theN=90 isotones is discussed.

    Notizen: Abstract High-spin states in165Hf, populated in the130Te(40Ca, 5n) reaction, were investigated using the Berkeley HERA γ-ray spectrometer array. The previously known level scheme of165Hf is appreciably extended. Intrinsic configurations, band crossing frequencies and aligned angular momenta are interpreted within the frame-work of the cranked shell model. It is suggested that the alignments of the second neutron pair and of the first proton pair in165Hf occur at ħω≈0.44 MeV and ≈0.48 MeV, respectively. The systematic trend of these alignment frequencies for the Hf isotopes and for theN=93 isotones is discussed.

    Notizen: C-terminal analogues of neuropeptide Y (NPY) of small molecular size have been synthesized. The influence of chain length, single or multiple amino acid substitution, and segment substitutions on receptor binding, pre- and postsynaptic biological activity, and conformational properties have been investigated. Receptor binding and in vivo assays revealed biological activity for NPY Ac-25-36 that increased with increasing α-helicity. In attempts to stabilize the α-helical content, three independent types of modified NPY Ac-25-36 analogues were synthesized. Strong agonistic activities could be detected in a series of discontinuous analogues, which are constructs of N-terminal parts linked via different spacer molecules to C-terminal segments. One of the most active molecules was NPY 1-4-Aca-25-36 (Aca, ε-aminocaproic acid). For the first time conformational properties of a series of small NPY analogues have been investigated by CD, and correlated with biological activity and receptor binding. A C-terminal dodecapeptide segment of NPY with an amount of 50% substitution to the native C-terminal sequence of NPY was found to exhibit significant receptor binding.
