Summary Titanium-induced dicarbonyl-coupling reaction of 5-hexyloxybenzo[c]thiophene-1,3-dicarbaldehyde (9) was carried out to obtain poly(5-hexyloxybenzo[c]thiophene-1,3-diylvinylene) (10), which was characterized by 1H NMR, IR, UV-vis, and elemental analysis.
