Description: NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) has a long history related to the development of advanced power technology for space applications. This expertise covers the breadth of energy generation (photovoltaics, thermal energy conversion, etc.), energy storage (batteries, fuel cell technology, etc.), power management and distribution, and power systems architecture and analysis. Such advanced technology is now being developed for small satellite and cubesat applications and could have a significant impact on the longevity and capabilities of these missions. A presentation during the Pre-Conference Workshop will focus on various advanced power technologies being developed and demonstrated by NASA, and their possible application within the small satellite community.

Description: NASA needs nuclear power to achieve a sustainable human presence on Lunar and Mars surfaces. Kilopower II addresses a gap in the NASA Technology Roadmaps (TA-03) for robust, sun-independent power generation in the 1 to 10 kWe range. NASA needs a long-life, low-cost power option for missions where solar is not practical. Future Exploratory Missions require a reliable source of power Lunar/Mars explorations including ISRU propellant production and crew life support and operations, for which there is no off-the-shelf solution. KRUSTY serves as a baseline for on follow-on human missions with multiple stand-alone units that provide redundancy/fault tolerance and flexibility for re-use at multiple sites with power needs of 1 to 10 kWe throughout the solar system (e.g. permanently-shaded lunar craters, subsurface Europa science, deep space electric propulsion, others.)

Description: Currently, the information constitutes the most important asset coming from the instances the organization is in permanent contact with, as well as the one originated from the exercise of its function. That is why as the time goes by, it increases exponentially, magnifying the necessity to store and to administrate the data efficiently so they acquire a true meaning in the processes of the organization and satisfy the necessities of the clients and control organisms. In consequence, the strategic objectives as regards of the information quality control in organizations like national investigation centers, have been guided toward the standardization of the data generated by their groups, getting the maximum use of the result of years of exploration, economic investment, qualified human resource and installed operative capacities. The Dirección General Marítima, in this aspect responds to the growing requirements of precision and quality that the scientific and technological investigation at national and international level demands through the design and implementation of the tool software denominated Central de Información Marina Colombiana; which gathers administration elements based on Ocean Data View quality flags for parameters of physical oceanography, chemical oceanography, biological oceanography, and marine and coastal meteorology. Promoting this way the readiness of the resource for the users that require it independent of the geographical location and under security conditions to protect them of the inadequate use.
