Description: All-solid-state thin film lithium batteries (TFLBs) are the most competitive low-power sources to be applied in various kinds of micro-electro-mechanical systems and have been draw a lot of attention in academic research. In this paper, the checkerboard deposition of all-solid-state TFLB was composed of thin film lithium metal anode, lithium phosphorus oxynitride (LiPON) solid electrolyte, and checkerboard deposition of lithium manganese oxide spinel (LiMn 2 O 4 ) cathode. The LiPON and LiMn 2 O 4 were deposited by a radio frequency magnetron sputtering system, and the lithium metal was deposited by a thermal evaporation coater. The electrochemical characterization of this lithium battery showed the first discharge capacity of 107.8 μAh and the capacity retention was achieved 95.5% after 150 charge-discharge cycles between 4.3V and 3V at a current density of 11 μA/cm 2 (0.5C). Obviously, the checkerboard of thin film increased the c...

Description: In this paper, a high speed reconfigurable control bits generation algorithm for cyclic shift operations is proposed. The algorithm utilizes the characteristics of routing information when Inverse Butterfly multi level network supports cyclic shift. Moreover, it also integrates a kind of cyclic shift operations together, including cyclic shift and sub-word cyclic shift based on a bit width of 2 i (i = 1, 2, …). Based on this, the shifter is implemented, and the logic synthesis is realized in the SMIC 65nm process. The results show that when the proposed unit only supports cyclic shift operations, enhances the frequency by 3.6% ∼ 8.6% and reduces the area by1.4% ∼ 32%, compared with previously proposed solutions. When achieving a variety of cyclic shift operations, the frequency of our unit enhances the frequency by 5% and reduces the area by 6%.

Description: Isoprene, a dominant biogenic volatile organic compound that is mainly emitted by trees, has a significant impact on the atmospheric chemistry. Regional to global changes in biogenic isoprene emission associated with vegetation variations between 2000 and 2015 were estimated using the MEGAN model with satellite land cover data for inputs in this study. The satellite data estimates of land cover changes were compared to results from previous investigators that have either conducted regional studies or have used lower resolution land cover data. The analysis indicates that tree coverage increases of 〉5% occurred in 13% of locations including in central China and Europe. In contrast, a decrease of 〉5% was observed in about 5% of locations, especially in tropical regions. The trends in global tree coverage from 2000 to 2015 resulted in a global isoprene emission decrease of only 1.5%, but there were significant regional variations. Obvious decreases in tree coverage in some tropical areas (e.g., Amazon Basin, Western Africa, Southeast Asia) resulted in a ~10% reduction of regional isoprene emission due to agricultural expansion. Distinct increments of isoprene emission (5–10%) were mainly found in Northeast China and India and were associated with afforestation efforts. Deforestation and afforestation associated with managed plantations does not only affect the total forest coverage but also impacts average isoprene emission capacity, which can result in accelerated isoprene emission variations. Consequently, isoprene variation assessments are needed that not only account for changes in vegetation fractions but also consider the changes in plant species compositions of forests and other landscapes. ©2018.
