    Description: A variety of Sn-Ag-Cu solder alloys have been proposed and recommended for use in industrial organizations for example Sn-95.5Ag3.8Cu-0.7 (SAC 387) by the European Consortium Brite-Euram in the European Union. In this study an effect of shock wave on micromechanics properties of SAC 387 solder was investigated via nanoindentation approach. Solder joint of SAC 387 on copper substrate was prepared by hand soldering techniques. Then soldered samples were exposed to shock wave at different distance of 1 m, 2 m and 3 m. The shock wave test was conducted using 500 g of trinitrotoluene (TNT). Hardness value of SAC 387 decreased from 300 MPa to 130 MPa as well as reduced modulus drop from 115 GPa to 43 GPa after exposure. However the hardness and reduced modulus increased with increasing distance of the shock wave. The phenomenon revealed that shock wave deteriorated the micromechanics properties of soldered samples.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed in February 2015 using secondary data acquired from the hospital records. There were 2607 confirmed dengue cases presented to Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) in 2014. Seven hundred patients were selected after proportionate stratified random sampling conducted according to the number of cases in 12 different months in 2014. Data were collected and analysed using SPSS version 22.0. Results: Severe dengue outcomes represented 4.9% of cases. The prevalence of any of WS in SD was 91.2%. The most common WSs prior to SD were persistent vomiting (55.9%), and abdominal pain/tenderness (52.9%). The most sensitive warning sign in detecting SD was abdominal pain (59%). Specificity of individual WS were generally good, especially of clinical fluid accumulation (99%), hepatomegaly (98%) and mucosal bleeding (93%). Factors associated with SD were persistent vomiting (Adjusted odds ratio (aOR)): 2.41), mucosal bleeding (aOR: 4.73) and haematocrit rise with rapid platelet drop (aOR: 2.74). Conclusion: A focus on sensitivity, specificity, predictive values and association of a number of particular WS should be emphasized in order to better predict severe dengue outcomes.

    Description: Kuala Lumpur is the national capital of Malaysia as well as the center of attraction for people looking for jobs. Thus, in the future people will tend to use public transport including the Light Rail Transit (LRT) more often than driving their vehicle. This is especially so due to critical traffic congestion on the road especially during peak hours. The increasing population in Kuala Lumpur could lead the LRT stations to become more crowded form day to day due to excessive demand. Due to this problem, the facilities provided will not be enough and suitable to cater the space demand. Unfortunately, the limited study was done regarding the pedestrian spaces and facilities at underground LRT in Malaysia. Thus, this paper aims to establish the fundamental understanding of pedestrian behavior at vertical facilities in underground train station.

    Description: Honey composition could change during storage, which might affect the quality of honey. Subsequently, it could reduce the honey commercial value. However, data on the effect of the storage on several types of local honey is still lacking. Thus, in this study, moisture content, pH and antioxidant level of honey stored at 4°C were analysed after six-month of the storage. Initially, physicochemical properties (moisture, electrical conductivity, ash content, pH, free acidity and hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) level) and antioxidant levels of five local honey samples (Tualang, Gelam, Pineapple, Acacia and Kelulut honey) and Manuka honey as a control were determined. Afterwards, honey samples were stored at 4°C for six months and their moisture content, pH and antioxidant levels were monitored monthly.     Description: In this research, one residential building of soft storey situated at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan is selected. SAP 2000 which is structural analysis software is being used to determine the maximum displacement and base shear of the soft storey. Four different types of model are introduced to do the modeling. Acheh, Indonesia earthquake data is considered for time history analysis. The comparison of these models for different type of bracing system like X bracing type and V bracing type is carried out. Based on this comparative study, it can conclude that model 3 which is V bracing type is the best and effective method of bracing system for soft storey building. From the result obtained, it shown that V bracing has the lowest value for maximum displacement compared other 3 models. In addition, V bracing type also showed the lowest value of base shear. Thus, it proved that V bracing type reduces the maximum displacement and base shear of the soft storey building.

    Description: This study is concerning phosphorus distribution in Putrajaya Wetland. Phosphorus is one of the important component in nutrients for living things be it aquatic or non – aquatic organisms. Total phosphorus (TP) results will give some information on the trophic status of surface water in water bodies. The focus of this study is to determine the total phosphorus concentration in Putrajaya Wetland which is in the inlet of the wetland then outlet of the wetland (Central Wetland Lake). The water sample is taken from Putrajaya Wetland and the test was conducted in the laboratory. The result from this study shows the results for total phosphorus according to month, sampling station and cells. Lowest total phosphate at the Central Wetland compare with all the wetland arms cells.

    Description: In this study, the effect of stabilization temperature on the performance of tubular carbon membrane was being investigated. P84 co-polyimide-based tubular carbon membrane will be fabricated through the dip-coating technique. The tubular carbon membrane performance can be controlled by manipulating the pyrolysis conditions which was conducted at different stabilization temperatures of 250, 300, 350, 400, and 450°C under N 2 environment (200 ml/min). The prepared membranes were characterized by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and pure gas permeation system. The pure gas of H 2 , He, and N 2 were used to determine the permeation properties of the carbon membrane. The P84 co-polyimide-based tubular carbon membrane stabilized at 300°C demonstrated an excellent permeation property with H 2 , He, and N 2 gas permeance of 1134.51±2.87, 1287.22±2.86 and 2.98±1.28GPU, respectively.     Description: In this paper, nickel zinc ferrite (NZF) nanopowder was mixed with organic vehicle which consists of linseed oil, m-xylene and α-terpineol. Then the mixture was sonicated for 1 hour at 40°C in order to obtain homogenous paste, followed by printing it onto FR4 substrate using the screen printing technique to form the NZF thick film layer before dried at 100°C and later fired at 200°C. A basic square shape patch antenna by using silver paste was printed onto the NZF thick film layer and was compared with another patch antenna which was been printed without the NZF layer. The results showed that the antenna with NZF thick film layer has return loss of -10.97dB, resonant frequency 6.42GHz, bandwidth 3.9 and Q factor of 1.646, which is better compared to the antenna without the layer by 32.81%, 3.22%, 86.60% and 44.69% respectively.
