Chapter 2 assesses the state of the Arctic coast under three broad disciplinary themes - physical, ecological, and human systems. Chapter 3 considers the need for and progress toward integrative approaches to monitoring, understanding, and managing change in Arctic coastal systems. Chapter 4 provides a synthesis and identifies data gaps and research priorities over the coming decade.
