Observational data from several observatories, including Rosat, are used to identify two previously unreported outbursts from the ultrasoft X-ray transient 4U 1630-47. These outbursts occurred in March 1979 and September 1993, which is consistent with a previously reported 600-day outburst recurrence period. This source is a member of the class of transient X-ray binary systems that are thought to contain black holes. The 601.0 +/- 2.8 day period is the shortest observed so far for this class.
