    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Исследованы каталитические свойства соединений переходных металлов VIII группы, а также Cu, Ag, Au и Hg в реакции синтеза диэтилкетона из этилена, окиси углерода и водорода в концентрированном водном растворе трифторуксусной кислоты, содержащем трифенилфосфин, в мягких условиях (70°C, 1 бар). Установлено, что в этих условиях кроме ацетата Pd только соединения Pt и Rh проявляют заметную активность в синтезе диэтилкетона.
    Notes: Abstract Catalystic properties of Group VIII transition metals and Cu, Ag, Au and Hg compounds in diethylketon synthesis from ethylene, carbon monoxide and hydrogen in concentrated aqueous solutions of trifluoroacetic acid containing triphenylphosphine have been examined in mild conditions (70°C, 1 bar). It has been established that under these conditions, in addition to Pd axcetate, a noticeable activity in diethylketone synthesis is observed only for Pt and Rh compounds.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Исследована структура и адсорбционные свойства новых углеродных носителей, полученных на основе технического углерода, которые обладают преимущественно мезопористой структурой, развитой поверхностью и высокой механической прочностью. Носитель состоит из глобул. Глобуль внутри пустье и стенки глобул имеют отверстия размером несколько сотен Å. Новый углеродный материал представляет интерес для фундаментального исследования катализаторов на углеродных носителях.
    Notes: Abstract Structure and adsorption properties of new carbon carriers obtained on the basis of carbon black have been examined. These carriers possess largely mesoporous structure, developed surface and high mechanical strength and contain hollow globules. Walls of these globules have pores, whose size is several hundreds Å. The new material is of interest for fundamental studies of carbon-supported catalysts.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract С использованием алгоритма на основе математической модели структурной химии разработан подход для оценки каталитических свойств атомов метомов металлов в процессе гидрирования окиси углепода в газовой фазе. Получены структуры и энергетические характеристики промежуточных соединений и возможиых продуктов в процессе каталитического гидрирования окиси углерода до C1 и C2-органических соединеиий. Определены металлы, катализирующие реакци№ до образоваия различнях продуктов.
    Notes: Abstract An approach to determine the catalytic properties of metal atoms for the hydrogenation of CO in the gas phase is suggested. This approach has been developed using an algorithm based on a mathematical model for structural chemistry. Structural and energetic characteristics for intermediates and possible products of the catalytic hydrogenation of CO to C1 and C2 organic compounds and metals established as catalysts for the formation of various products are presented.

    Notes: Abstract Heat treatment of the Pd(O) complex of dibenzylidenacetone on carbon supports was found to afford formation of more uniform Pd particles and an equal or higher activity of samples in hydrogenation of hexene and nitrobenzene compared to conventional methods of catalyst preparation from PdCl2.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Катализаторы Ru/SiO2, приготовленные восстановлением нанесенного RuCl3·xH2O, активны в реакции газофазного гидроформилирования пропилена при низких (∼0,3 МПа) давлениях реакционной смеси и проявляют неожиданно высокую селективность в образовании оксо-продуктов линйного строения. Получены данные о влиянии состояния и дисперсности рутения на свойства щтих катализаторов.
    Notes: Abstract Ru/SiO2 catalysts prepared by reduction of supported RuCl3·xH2O are active in gas-phase hydroformylation of propylene at low pressure (ca. 0.3 MPa) of H2+CO+C3H6 mixtured and show unexpectedly high selectivity towards unbranched oxo-products. Data concerning the effect of electronic state and dispersity of Ru on their catalytic behavior have been obtained.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Изучена кинетика окисления пропилена в пропиленгликоль и его ацетаты в уксуснокислых растворах нитрата лития на каталиэаторах Pd/C и Pd−Pt/C. Катализаторы исследованы методами РФА и электронной микроскопии. Показано, что введение в состав катализаторов платины приводит к увеличению дисперсности металлических частиц и стабильности катализаторов, но не влияет на природу поверхностных центров, активных в реакции окисления пропилена.
    Notes: Abstract Kinetics of oxidation of propylene to propylene glycol and its acetates in acetic acid solutions of lithium nitrate over Pd/C and Pd−Pt/C catalysts has been studied. Catalysts were investigated using X-ray phase analysis and electron microscopy. Platinum introduction into catalyst increases the metal dispersity and the catalyst stability but produces no effect on the nature of surface sites active in propylene oxidation.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Рентгенографическими методами изучены два углеродных материала — сибунит и алтунит. Показано, что область когерентного рассеяния сибунита представляет собой глобулу диаметром 35 Å, в которой сохраняется слоистая структура графита с азимутальной разориентацией графитовых сеток. Алтунит имеет алмазную структуру, состоит из мелких частиц со средним размером 20 Å, лишенных микроискажений и характеризующихся узким распределением по размерам.
    Notes: Abstract Two carbon material — sibunit and altunit have been studied using X-ray phase analysis methods. Coherent scattering region of Sibunit is a globule with a diameter of 35 Å, which preserves a stratified structure of graphite with the azimutal disorientation of graphite networks. Altunit has a diamond structure and consists of small particles with the average size of 20 Å, having no microstrains and characterized by a narrow size distribution of particles.

    Notes: Abstract The oxidation of ferrous sulfate with dioxygen, an example of an inorganic redox process in aqueous phase, has been studied on a number of carbon-supported Pd and Pt catalysts, both freshly reduced and kept for a long time after contacting with air. In the whole range of metal dispersities studied (0.10–0.75, as determined by CO chemisorption) a several-fold gradual loss of intrinsic activity has been found when increasing the dispersity. Such a decrease appeared sufficient to present volcanotype plots for the corresponding activities on a per-gram basis. It has been concluded that the metal particle size and oxidation state of the metallic surface are two independently acting factors which affect the intrinsic rate.

    Notes: Abstract Influence of alkaline and acidic promoters on the composition of CO hydrogenation products on SiO2-supported metallic palladium and rhodium has been examined. Alkaline and acidic promoters have been established to increase the yield of methanol and ethanol, respectively.
