The determination of the rate of initiation of the radical cyclopolymerization of dimethyl-diallyl ammonium chloride, initiated by persulfate in aqueous solution, by integral evaluation of the conversion-time dependence and measuring the inhibition resulted in the overall time relationship vi = 2fkz[I]1.5 [M]2. The kinetic investigation of the polymerization process, considering this relationship of vi and the ratio kw/ka0.5 = f([M]) described earlier, was found to be supported by the experimental results and described by the overall rate equation vo = k[I]0,75 [M]3, thus demonstrating the unusual values of the exponents in this equation to be caused by the effect of vi.

Die Bestimmung der Startgeschwindigkeit bei der persulfatinitiierten radikalischen Cyclopolymerisation von Dimethyl-diallyl-ammoniumchlorid in wäßriger Lösung durch integrale Auswertung des Umsatz-Zeit-Verlaufs sowie Inhibitionsmessungen ergab das Bruttozeitgesetz vi = 2fkz[I]1,5 [M]2. Die kinetische Analyse des Polymerisationsverlaufs unter Berücksichtigung der gefundenen Abhängigkeiten für vi und der früher beschriebenen Abhängigkeit kw/ka0,5 = f ([M]) führt in guter Übereinstimmung mit experimentellen Ergebnissen zu der Bruttogeschwindigkeitsgleichung vBr = k [I]0,75 [M]3 für die Polymerisation und weist damit aus, daß die ungewöhnlichen Exponenten dieser Beziehung wesentlich auf die Beeinflussung von vi zurückzuführen sind.
