Description:
The shallow gradient in seismic velocity used for rock sites with Z2.5≤200 m in the 3D velocity model for finite‐difference simulations was incorrectly described in Frankel et al. (2018). Z2.5 is the depth to a shear‐wave velocity VS of 2.5 km/s. Instead of the gradient being applied over the top 500 m of the model as described in the article, the gradient was implemented over the top 200 m. We emphasize that this difference only applies to hard‐rock sites with Z2.5≤200 m.
