    Notes: At present, dual-wavelength spectrophotometry is probably the least well known of the techniques of absorption spectrophotometry. However, recent improvements in application techniques have shown that for various organic and inorganic materials dual-wavelength spectrophotometry can provide higher sensitivity and selectivity than conventional spectrophotometry. This article reviews the principles and scope of dual-wavelength spectrophotometry, including derivative absorption spectrophotometry, in the hope that these techniques may be adopted more frequently in the future for resolving many analytical problems.

    Notes: Gegenwärtig ist die Doppelwellenlängen-Spektrometrie wahrscheinlich die am wenigsten bekannte Methode der Absorptions-Spektrophotometrie. Die neuesten Fortschritte in der Anwendungstechnik haben aber gezeigt, daß die Doppelwellenlängen-Spektrophotometrie bei der Analyse mannigfaltiger organischer sowie anorganischer Stoffe hinsichtlich Empfindlichkeit und Selektivität der konventionellen Spektrophotometrie überlegen ist. Dieser Beitrag gibt eine Übersicht über die Prinzipien und Möglichkeiten der Doppelwellenlängen-Spektrophotometrie - einschließlich Derivativ-Absorptionsspektrometrie - in der Hoffnung, daß diese Techniken in Zukunft öfter zur Lösung vieler analytischer Probleme benutzt werden.
