    Notizen: Abstract Nuclear spin polarization in the 4f 146s 2 1 S 0 ground state of175Lu+(I=7/2) ions is achieved by optical pumping with the resonance line (1 S 0-1 P 1,λ=261.5 nm). Nuclear magnetic resonance of the free ions in He buffer gas yields for the magnetic dipole momentμ(175Lu)=2.2240(11)μ n (with diamagnetic correction). This value can be used for a more accurate determination of the magnetic dipole moments of other Lu isotopes from knownA factor ratios. A comparison with nuclear induction measurements in solids results in the chemical shiftsδ(LuB12)=−23(5)·10−4 andδ(LuSb)= −31(5)·10−4.

    Notizen: Abstract The effects of a magnetic field on nuclear spin ordering in solid3He have been observed through the influence of the field on the solid entropy. By making use of the Clausius-Clapeyron equation, the3He melting temperature as a function of pressure was determined in several magnetic fields from 0 to 1.2 T from measurements of the latent heat of solidification in a Pomeranchuk cell. The solid entropy as a function of temperature was then calculated from the melting curve slope in each field by again utilizing the Clausius-Clapeyron equation. The solid ordering manifested itself as a substantial reduction in entropy occurring over a narrow temperature interval. A portion of the magnetic phase diagram of solid3He was established by plotting the ordering temperature versus field. In low fields the reduction in entropy occurs over a very narrow temperature interval, and the ordering temperature is depressed by the field. Above about 0.41 T, however, the ordering region is broadened and moves to significantly higher temperatures with increasing fields. The behavior in low fields is tentatively interpreted as a magnetic phase transition from the paramagnetic to an ordered phase, while the effect in higher fields is believed to represent paramagnetic ordering of the nuclear spins by the applied field.

    Notizen: Bei Umsetzungen von Natrium-, Kalium- oder Ammoniumvinylpentafluorosilikat mit Silbernitrat oder Kupfersulfat wurden Äthylen und Butadien erhalten. Trifluorvinyltrichlorsilan gab mit Antimontrifluorid Trifluorvinyltrifluorsilan, woraus sich mit Kalium-, Natrium- und Ammoniumfluorid in aprotonischen Lösungsmitteln die entsprechenden Trifluorvinylpentafluorosilikate gewinnen ließen. Bei deren Umsetzung mit Silbernitrat bzw. Kupfersulfat entstanden Trifluoräthylen bzw. ein Gemisch von diesem mit Hexafluorbutadien. Das Verhältnis, in dem sich diese. Gase jeweils bildeten, ist von Menge und Art des eingesetzten Schwermetallsalzes stark abhängig.

    Notizen: The electron-impact and field ionisation spectra of nineteen di- and tetracyanopyrazines are presented. The use of high resolution mass measurement and metastable analysis allows the proposal of some general fragmentation mechanisms. The 5,6-disubstituted (alkyl or arene) 2,3-dicyanopyrazines examined show, apart from a less important loss of the nitrile and dicyano groups, fragmentation of the heterocyclic system directed by the nitrogen atoms. In contrast, anellation in the 5,6-position, leads only to loss of the nitrile and dicyano groups being observed. These general fragmentation mechanisms are also observed for the tetracyanopyrazines examined. A comparison of di- and tetracyanobenzene with five ring heterocycles containing four cyano groups shows that fragmentation of nitrile groups is greatly dependent upon the aromaticity of the cyclic system.

    Notizen: Die Acylierung von s-Triazolyl-amidinen 1 führt zu N-[1,2,4-Triazolyl-(4)]-N′-carbalkoxy-amidinen 2, die durch Kochen in Äthylglykol oder Phenol zu s-Triazolo[3,4-f]as-triazinonen-(8) 3 cyclisieren. Die analoge Umsetzung der Verbindungen 1 mit Orthocarbonsäureestern ergibt unter direktem Ringschluß ohne Bildung isolierbarer offenkettiger Acylierungs-produkte die s-Triazolo[3,4-f]as-triazine 5. 6,8-Disubstituierte s-Triazolo[3,4-f]as-triazine sind auch durch Umsetzung von 4-Arylidenamino-1,2,4-triazolen mit Natriumamid zugänglich. Durch Hydrogenolyse dieser Verbindungen entstehen Imidazole. Die Quaternierung und anschließende Hydrolyse liefert bisher unbekannte 6-substituierte 1,2,4-Triazine.
