    Extraction of Metal Chloro Anions from aqueous chloride solutions using liquid anion-exchangers (1967)

    Description / Table of Contents: Bei der Extraktion von FeIII, ZnII, CdII, CoII und CuII aus wäßrigen Chloridlösungen durch Lösungen substituierter Ammoniumchloride oder hochmolekularer Aminhydrochloride in Toluol gehen die Metalle höchstwahrscheinlich als MIIICl4- bzw. MIICl42- Anionen in die organische Phase. Extraktionsversuche mit unverdünnten flüssigen Anionenaustauschern legen nahe, daß die gleichen Chloroanionen auch in der nichtwäßrigen Phase früher beschriebener chromatographischer Trennsysteme auftreten.
    Notes: An analysis has been made of the organic extracts obtained when Fe(III), Zn(II), Cd(II), Co(II) or Cu(II) are extracted from aqueous chloride solutions by substituted ammonium chlorides or high-molecular-weight amine hydrochlorides in toluene. It is shown that most probably the extracted species contain the M(III)Cl4- and M(II)Cl42- anions in all cases. Extraction experiments using undiluted liquid anion-exchangers strongly point to the presence of the same metal-containing anions in the non-aqueous phase of the chromatographic experiments previously described.

    Description / Table of Contents: From Buerger precession photographs of SrJ2 (MoKα radiation) the lattice dimensions a = 15.22, b = 8.22, c = 7.90 Å and the space group Pbca are derived. According to the calculated and measured density (ϱc = 4.59 g/cm3, ϱm = 4.549 g/cm3) the orthorhombic unit cell contains 8 formula units SrJ2. EuJ2 and SrJ2 are not isostructural, but there are close material relations between their unit cells.
    Notes: Aus BUERGER-Präzessionsaufnahmen von SrJ2 (MoKα-Strahlung) wurden die Gitterkonstanten a = 15,22, b = 8,22 und c = 7,90 Å sowie die Raumgruppe Pbca abgeleitet. Die rhombische Elementarzelle enthält gemäß Dichtevergleich (ϱber = 4,59 g/cm3, ϱexp = 4,549 g/cm3) 8 Formeleinheiten SrJ2. EuJ2 und SrJ2 sind nicht isotyp; es bestehen aber enge Beziehungen zwischen den Abmessungen der Elementarzellen.

    Description / Table of Contents: The compounds AuCl · en and AuCl3 · en (en = ethylenediamine) have been prepared by anhydrous interaction of solutions of the corresponding gold salts in pyridine with etyhlenediamine. From their IR spectra it is concluded that the en-molecule is bound in the trans-form (C2h) in AuCl · en, but not in the trans-form in AuCl3 · en.
    Notes: Durch Umsetzung wasserfreier Gold(I)- bzw. Gold(III)-chlorid-Lösungen in absolutem Pyridin mit Äthylendiamin lassen sich die Verbindungen AuCl · en bzw. AuCl3 · en (en = Äthylendiamin) darstellen. Das Infrarotspektrum der Verbindung AuCl · en erlaubt die Aussage, daß die en-Molekel in der trans-Form (C2h) gebunden ist. Beim AuCl3 · en liegt nicht die trans-Form vor.
