Description / Table of Contents:
The potassium salt of hydrazine-iso-disulfonic acid, H2N—N(SO3K)2, is prepared by amination of potassium-imido-disulfonate with hydroxylamine-O-sulfonic acid in the presence of potassium hydroxide. The relation between the hydrazine-iso-disulfonate yield and the concentration of the reacting substances has been studied. In the presence of tertiary amines only small quantities of hydrazine-iso-disulfonate are obtained. By amination of potassium-sulfamate small amounts of hydrazine-monosulfonate are formed.N-aryl-sulfamates were successfully aminated to give asymmetrically substituted arylhydrazine-sulfonates. Sodium-phenylsulfamic-acid-phenylhydrazide has been prepared by reaction between H2N—O—SO3Na and N,N′-diphenylsulfamide.
Notes:
