    Description / Table of Contents: Hydrocarbons from Carbon Monoxide and SteamCarbon monoxide and water can be converted in a single stage to paraffin hydrocarbons and compounds with an oxygen content, using catalysts of the 8th Group of the periodic table, either standard or high pressures and temperatures between 410 and 500°F.
    Notes: Kohlenoxyd und Wasser lassen sich an Katalysatoren der 8. Gruppe des periodischen Systems sowohl bei Normaldruck als auch bei Überdruck und Temperaturen zwischen 210  -  260°C in einer Stufe mit einem Umsatz von über 90% zu Paraffinkohlenwasserstoffen und sauerstoff-haltigen Verbindungen umsetzen.

    Notes: Die Bereitung und das chemische Verhalten des Aluminium-triäthanolaminats Al(OC2H4)3N werden beschrieben. Diese Verbindung stellt zwar ebenso wie ihr Analogon, der Triäthanolaminborsäureester, einen Innerkomplex dar, unterscheidet sich aber von ihm durch eine erhebliche Neigung zur Assoziation und durch die Fähigkeit, nicht nur über den Stickstoff, sondern auch in merklichem Ausmaß über das Aluminium komplexe Bindungen einzugehen, was durch den größeren Umfang des Aluminiums bedingt sein dürfte.

    Notes: 1. La synthèse de triazoles substitués est réalisable par chauffage prolongé d'un azide organique et d'un composé acétylénique dissous dans un solvant approprié (généralement le toluéne). Les éthynylcarbinols, en particulier, donnent des hydroxyalcoyl-triazoles, le groupe OH étant porté dans la chaîne alcoylique par l'atome de carbone lié au cycle. A partir de composés acétyléniques asymétriques, deux triazoles isomérique peuvent être attendus; ils ont effectivement été isolés dans plusieurs synthèses.

    Notes: Es wird gezeigt, daß das Wofatit-Verfahren eine geeignete Methode zur Darstellung verschiedener komplexer Säuren abgibt, da hierbei unter sehr milden Bedingungen gearbeitet werden kann. Sie ist anwendbar auf eine Reihe von genügend wasserlöslichen Komplexsalzen. Weiter ergab sich, daß die beiden Säuren H3[Cu(CN)4] und H[Co(NO2)4en] unbeständig sind, da sie schon unter den hier möglichen schonenden Bedingungen weitgehend zerfallen.

    Notes: Es wird eine bequeme Darstellung des Triäthanolaminborsäureesters angegeben und sein chemisches Verhalten kurz charakterisiert. Danach ist dieser Ester, der von Nitrobenzol monomolekular aufgenommen wird, zwar in der Lage, mit Säuren wie B(OH)3, HCl, H[Cr(NH3)2(SCN)4] und Pikrinsäure sowie mit Ansolvosäuren (HgCl2, SbCl3, SnCl4) Additionsverbindungen einzugehen, in denen zweifellos das Stickstoffatom als Haftatom fungiert, nicht aber mit solchen Liganden, die Elektronenpaare zur Verfügung stellen und daher an sich zur Wechselwirkung mit dem Boratom befähigt sein können.

    Notes: Der Vorgang des „Ausrührens“ von Aluminatlaugen durch Zusatz von kristallisiertem Hydrargillit als Impfstoff wird unter Benutzung von Gallium als Indikatorsubstanz untersucht. Die Versuchsergebnisse bestätigen die Vorstellung, daß die Wirksamkeit des Impfstoffes von aktiven Stellen abhängig ist, die gleichmäßig über die gesamte Oberfläche der Kristalle verteilt sind.
