The Separation of Sugar Mixtures by Combined Electrophoresis and Paper ChromatographyMixtures of sugars are subjected as boric acid complexes to electrophoresis in filter paper with a downward flow of the solution. The fractions are collected individually and chromatographed as usual. Two examples show that an effective separation is also achieved in the case of a larger throughput.

Gemische von Zuckern werden zunächst als Borsäure-Komplexe absteigend in Filtrierpapier einer Elektrophorese unterworfen. Anschließend werden die einzeln aufgefangenen Fraktionen wie üblich chromatographiert. An zwei Beispielen wird gezeigt, daß eine wirkungsvolle Trennung auch mit größeren Durchsätzen erzielt wird.
