Summary A method for the rapid determination of glucose in blood and urine is described. TheHagedorn-Jensen method is used to remove the protein from 0,1 to 0,2 ml of blood. The filtrate is then titrated with a solution of potassium-copper-3-periodate, K7[CuIII(JO6)2]. The urine is decolorized, filtered, and then titrated as above.

Résumé Une méthode rapide de dosage de glucose dans le sang et l'urine est décrite. Selon la technique deHagedorn-Jensen l'albumine est enlevée par la solution sulfate de zinc — soude caustique en travaillant sur 0,1 à 0,2 ml de sang. Le filtrat est titré par une solution de periodate de potassium et de cuivre3+ K7[CuIII(JO6)2]. L'urine est décolorée, et, après filtration, titrée comme plus haut.

Zusammenfassung Es wird eine Methode zur raschen Bestimmung der Glykose im Blut und im Urin beschrieben. Vom Blut werden 0,1 bis 0,2 ml nach der Methode vonHagedorn-Jensen mit Zinksulfat-Natronlauge enteiweißt, und das Filtrat mit einer Lösung von K7[CuIII(JO6)2] titriert. Der Urin wird entfärbt und nach dem Filtrieren wie oben titriert.
