Description: Hydraulic and structural performances are two main subjects in the optimization design of hydraulic machines. This article gives consideration to both hydraulic and structural performances during the optimization process of hydraulic turbine with main and splitter blades on the basis of Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO). The aim is to improve the optimization methods of hydraulic turbine, shorten the development cycle time and ensure stable and efficient operation of the unit. Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) and finite element method(FEM) analysis are combined to improve the overall performance of the runner in the multidisciplinary optimization process. The optimization considers the whole runner including the crown and band to get more accurate results of stress distribution. Open Grip program was used to parameterize runner blade and Bezier curve was used to match the bone line and it changed the blades through transforming the bone lines of different profile. NSG...

Description: Based on connecting aisle of shield tunnel projects in Shenzhen Metro Line 5, in accordance with the complex space structure formed by shield tunnel and connecting aisle, the study chose a three-dimensional numerical model linked by structure and surrounding rock for the calculation and analysis of the stress effect. It showed that due to the connecting aisle construction, the symmetrical deformation of shield tunnel was transformed into unsymmetrical deformation and the crossing segment produced a phenomenon of stress concentration, which caused the production of the upper and lower section of the overall tension of adverse stress form in side opening segment and contact channel structure side themselves. The tension zone of the whole structure was to connect through the lower half of the channel and the surrounding part of segment, so highly attention should be paid to the force structure and waterproof both in design and construction period.

Description: Virtual Synchronous Generators (VSG), as an effective mean to improve the frequency and voltage regulation ability of the renewable power, had aroused wide concern. Researchers have proposed several VSG implementations, which can be classified into two categories: voltage-controlled VSG and current-controlled VSG. Voltage-controlled VSG have been extensively studied. However, few researches focused on current-controlled VSG. In this paper, we concentrated on the current-controlled VSG and its stability problem. Firstly, a small-signal model of current-controlled VSG was established to identify the oscillation modes of grid-connected VSG system. Moreover, the developed model was used to investigate damping characteristics of the system under various scenarios and with different control parameters. The results revealed that stability of VSG system was sufficiently impacted by virtual inertia and phase lock loop in VSG. Under some unfavourable conditions, current-controlled VSG wou...

Description: The characteristics of phosphorus (P) adsorption and desorption in Xinjiang gray desert soil (0 - 200 mm) of China in the long-term fertilization condition is affected by the level of soil P content which studied through an isothermal adsorption and desorption experiments of P. The results stated that within the experimental concentration range, with the increase of the amount of outer-source phosphorus, P adsorption, desorption and desorption rate increased and adsorption rate decreased gradually in different Olsen-P levels of gray desert soil in Xinjiang, China. Olsen-P content is significantly correlated with the P adsorption saturation ( DPS ) of gray desert soil. The maximum adsorption capacity ( X m ) of the treatments followed an extremely significant decreasing order of CK〉NPK≈NPKM〉PK≈NPKS. The maximum buffer capacity ( MBC ) and adsorption constant (K) of the NPK treatment was much higher than NPKM, NPKS, PK and CK treatments. And, MBC...

Description: There is limited research of commercial buildings’ energy use data conducted based on practical analysis in China nowadays. Some energy consumption quota tools like Energy Star in U.S or VDI 3807 in Germany have limitation in China's building sector. This study introduces an innovative methodology of applying energy use quota model and empirical management to commercial buildings, which was in accordance of more than one hundred opened shopping centers of a real estate group in China. On the basis of statistical benchmarking, a new concept of “Modified coefficient”, which considers weather, occupancy, business layout, operation schedule and HVAC efficiency, is originally introduced in this paper. Our study shows that the average energy use quota increases from north to south. The average energy use quota of sample buildings is 159 kWh/(m2.a) of severe cold climate zone, 179 kWh/(m2.a) of cold zone, 188 kWh/(m2.a) of hot summer and cold winter zone, and 200 kWh/(m2.a) of hot summ...
