Ring Opening of Pyridine N-Oxide by Sodium Acetylide1)Contrary to published results pyridine N-oxide (1) and sodium acetylide do not yield 2-ethynylpyridine N-oxide (2) but (E,Z,E)-hepta-2,4-dien-6-ynal oxime (8) and (E,Z,E,E,Z,E)- dodeca-2,4,8,10-tetraen-6-ynedial dioxime (9), the structure of which is established mainly by 1H-NMR spectroscopy.
Notes:
Im Gegensatz zu veröffentlichten Ergebnissen liefert die Reaktion von Pyridin-N-oxid (1) mit Natriumacetylid nicht 2-Äthinylpyridin-N-oxid (2) sondern (E,Z,E)-Hepta-2,4-dien-6-inaloxim (8) und (E,Z,E,E,Z,E)-Dodeca-2,4,8,10-tetraen-6-indial-dioxim (9), deren Struktur vor allem 1H-NMR-spektroskopisch aufgeklärt wird.
