Description:
This report concerns the quantitative time-resolved visualization of reaction zones in laminar, transitional, and turbulent nonpremixed flames. Two-dimensional OH molecular concentrations were measured with planar laser-induced fluorescence excited by a sheet of light (formed from a single tunable ultraviolet laser pulse) and detected with a two-dimensional, image-intensified photodiode array camera. From the resulting data details of instantaneous flame front structures (including positions, shapes, and widths) were obtained.〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Notes: 〈/span〉Kychakoff, G -- Howe, R D -- Hanson, R K -- Drake, M C -- Pitz, R W -- Lapp, M -- Penney, C M -- New York, N.Y. -- Science. 1984 Apr 27;224(4647):382-4.〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Record origin:〈/span〉 〈a href="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17741216" target="_blank"〉PubMed〈/a〉
