Description / Table of Contents:
Platinum is volatilized by heating in oxygen-atmosphere in form of the dioxide. The equilibrium Pt + O2 = PtO2g has been measured between 1107 and 1208 °C with the following results: ΔH298 = 41.30 kcal; ΔS298 = 3.01 cl; S(PtO2g, 298) = 62.0 cl.
Notes:
Platin verflüchtigt sich beim Erhitzen in Gegenwart von Sauerstoff als Dioxyd. Das Gleichgewicht Pt + O2 = PtO2g wurde zwischen 1107 und 1208°C gemessen. Dafür gilt \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$\begin{array}{l} \Delta {\rm H}_{{\rm 298}} = 41,30{\rm kcal};\Delta {\rm S}_{{\rm 298}} = 3,01{\rm cl}; \\ [6pt] {\rm S(PtO}_{\rm 2} {\rm g, 298) = 62,0 cl} \\ \end{array} $$\end{document}.
