Ring-Chain-Tautomerism of γ-KetoamidesAmides of o-acylated benzoic acids are shown to exist only in the cyclic form by i. r. and n. m. r. spectroscopy, while β-acylated propionamides are cyclic and/or open. Both tautomeric forms of a γ-ketoamide (5 a) have been isolated for the first time. - The significance of the spectroscopic results is compared, and the relations between ring-chain-tautomerism and the structure of the ketoamides are discussed.

Nach den IR- und NMR-Spektren liegen Amide o-acylierter Benzoesäuren ausschließlich in der cyclischen Form vor, während bei β-acylierten Propionsäureamiden cyclische und offen-kettige Isomere-gelegentlich auch nebeneinander-vorkommen. Es wurden zum ersten Male beide Tautomeren eines Ketoamids (5 a) isoliert. - Die Aussagekraft der spektro-skopischen Methoden und die Strukturabhängigkeit der Ring-Ketten-Tautomerie werden diskutiert.
