On the Boron Trifluoride Catalized Homologisation of Cycloalkanones with DiazomethaneForm cyclopentadecanone onward the formation of higher ketones in the homologisation reaction with diazomethane catalyzed by boron trifluoride is approximately statistical. It may be described by a Poisson distribution based on equal activities of all cycloalkanones involved. A statistical and a kinetic model make it possible to evaluate relative reactivities for cyclooctanone to cyclopentadecanone.

Von Cyclopentadecanon an erfolgt die Bildung der höheren Ketone bei der Bortrifluorid-katalysierten Homologisierung mit Diazomethan nahezu statisch. Sie kann durch eine Poisson-Verteilung gut beschrieben werden, der die Voraussetzung gleicher Reaktivität aller beteiligten Cycloalkanone zugrunde liegt. Ein statistisches und ein kinetisches Modell erlauben es, eine relative Reaktivitätsskala von Cyclooctanon bis Cyclopentadecanon anzugeben.
