    Description: Community and individual experiences in the fields of art and religion are often experienced and described as "inexpressible", as immediate and at the same time, as fluctuating and fleeting. They exceed the order of space and time - and yet are conditioned by the concrete ritual dimensions of the performance and execution and the sensual (aesthetic) experience. The interdisciplinary contributions of the volume are dedicated to these experiences and their representations in various media such as Dance, music and film and especially ask about transcultural dimensions. The central example is the interface between Germany and South Asia.
    Description: Gemeinschaftliche und individuelle Erfahrungen in den Bereichen der Kunst und der Religion werden oft als »unaussprechlich« erlebt und beschrieben, als unmittelbar und gleichzeitig, als schwankend und flüchtig. Sie überschreiten die Ordnung von Raum und Zeit – und sind doch bedingt durch die konkreten rituellen Dimensionen der Auf- und Ausführungen und des sinnlichen (aisthetischen) Erlebens. Die interdisziplinären Beiträge des Bandes widmen sich diesen Erfahrungen und ihren Repräsentationen in verschiedenen Medien wie z.B. Tanz, Musik und Film und fragen besonders nach transkulturellen Dimensionen. Zentrales Beispiel ist dabei die Schnittstelle zwischen Deutschland und Südasien.

    Description: El debate acerca de la Reforma Previsional, aprobada en diciembre de 2017, inicia la actual crisis política en la Argentina. El proceso parlamentario evidenció fuertes tensiones, que se acentuaron, pocos meses después, en torno al acuerdo con el Fondo Monetario Internacional. El texto aborda las posiciones en juego y su inscripción en formaciones discursivas antagónicas, a partir de los modos de referir al afuera del recinto, las memorias que se activan y la semiotización de las emociones. El texto puede interesar a analistas del discurso y a cientistas sociales interesados tanto por el despliegue discursivo de las representaciones como por la historia argentina reciente.

    Description: Der Historiker Reinhart Koselleck hat neben seinem schriftlichen Nachlass und einer bemerkenswerten Fotosammlung auch eine Anzahl von Figuren und anderen Gegenständen hinterlassen. Seine Sammlung umfasst rund 140 Objekte unterschiedlichster Art: Zinnsoldaten, Büsten und Miniaturdenkmäler, vor allem aber Pferde- und Reiterfiguren. Die Beiträger*innen verbinden die erste Dokumentation der außergewöhnlichen Sammlung mit einer wissenschaftlichen Bestandsaufnahme. Sie gehen der Frage nach, welche Rolle die gesammelten Objekte in Kosellecks Denkraum spielten und welche neuen Zugänge zu historischer Medialität und zur Frage nach dem Potenzial von Geschichtsdingen sie eröffnen können.

La Construcción Horizontal del Conocimiento se refiere al vigor que adquieren los conocimientos sociales cuando parten del diálogo disciplinar con las voces de los saberes múltiples que poseen quienes viven y superan los problemas sociales que les aquejan. La investigación que responde horizontalmente a las preguntas sociales aporta de dos maneras: produce nuevo conocimiento, y nuevas relaciones entre las personas.

    Description: El cine constituye una poderosa herramienta cultural que opera de múltiples maneras en el rescate de memorias, así como en la reparación colectiva y conceptualización interdisciplinaria de experiencias traumáticas en comunidades devastadas por sistemáticas violaciones a sus derechos fundamentales. Hace perceptibles las prolongaciones de silenciadas o legitimadas violencias políticas tanto en el individuo como en el tejido social trastornado por perturbadoras marcas que desbaratan la existencia y la convivencia. Las expresiones cinematográficas no hacen referencia al ayer únicamente, sino que, sobre todo, cuestionan las pautas convencionales empleadas para articular pasado, presente y futuro a fin de explorar horizontes posibles. Como detonadoras de memoria y generadoras de conciencia, robustecen diferentes modi memorandi que tratan el pasado violento demasiado activo aún.

    Description: La autoría en autobiografías escritas por personas de origen africano, esclavizadas en América durante los siglos XVIII y XIX, no es carente de conflictividad. Durante siglos el uso del Yo, como voz referencial de autor fue una entidad privilegiada mediante relatos impresos elaborados por los propios protagonistas mientras se daba por sentado que el resto de vidas solo merecían permanecer confinadas en ámbitos estrictamente privados por ser consideradas vacías, vulgares, irrelevantes, dignas de ínfima atención pública. Gerardo Cham aborda los casos de tres autores y a una autora, cuyas narrativas testimoniales tuvieron gran difusión desde que fueron escritas: Olaudah Equiano, Mary Prince, Juan Francisco Manzano y Mahomma Gardo Baquaqua.

    Description: Este libro es un ensayo extendido sobre las dinámicas de desarrollo y resistencia desatadas por los avances del extractivismo, una forma de capitalismo que se caracteriza por una crisis multidimensional de alcance global. El extractivismo toma diversas formas, pero el epicentro en su más reciente encarnación es América Latina. La región ha sido el principal blanco de sus impactos socioecológicos negativos, pero también el escenario de las fuerzas más poderosas de resistencia. El autor aborda tres dimensiones críticas de este proceso, incluyendo la nueva geoeconomía y geopolítica del capital, las resistencias en la frontera extractiva y las alternativas propuestas por los gobiernos formados en el »ciclo progresista« en la política, y construidos desde abajo por las comunidades indígenas y no indígenas en la frontera. Finalmente, cierra con una reflexión sobre la posibilidad de una transición postextractivista a un otro mundo de solidaridad social y armonía con la naturaleza, en condiciones de justicia social y ecológica.

    Description: Significantly, the ’Big Bang’ in reception history of Richard Wagner’s work took place in a place that was torn between the province and the residence, tradition and progress, idea and realization: in the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach. Here Franz Liszt's future-oriented work and the legacy of the Weimar Classic combined under the reign of an ambitious Weimar court to a not unproblematic synthesis, the consequences of which did not leave Wagner unaffected. The contributions of the volume examine these interactions between culture and politics.
    Description: Der rezeptionsgeschichtliche ¼Urknall½ von Richard Wagners Werk fand bezeichnenderweise an einem Ort statt, der sich in einem Spannungsfeld zwischen Provinz und Residenz, Tradition und Fortschritt, Idee und Verwirklichung befand: im Großherzogtum Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach. Hier verbanden sich Franz Liszts auf die Zukunft ausgerichtetes Wirken und das Erbe der Weimarer Klassik unter der Regentschaft eines ambitionierten Weimarer Hofes zu einer nicht unproblematischen Synthese, von deren Folgen auch Wagner nicht unberührt blieb. Die Beiträge des Bandes untersuchen diese Wechselwirkungen zwischen Kultur und Politik.

    Description: Este libro presenta casos de experimentos sociales en El Salvador, Nicaragua, y Uruguay. En estos espacios, donde florecía la comunicación horizontal y multi-clasista, el concepto de utopías menores de Jay Winter es apropiado. Este ensayo toma inspiración de esa obra importante de Winter, rastreando lo que él llama las »visiones de transformación parcial«, que coexistían temporalmente con las grandes narrativas de transformación social, pero después perdieron su lugar propio en el record histórico. Trabajadores agrícolas en Chinandega, minifundistas en Morazán, y obreros fabriles en Montevideo, en medio de graves crisis sociales-económicas y políticas conquistaron espacios para defenderse, pero también de crear nuevas relaciones sociales y una experiencia de trabajo colectiva y libertadora.
