    Description: Feedback from teachers is of great importance for the learning development of pupils. For optimal support of learning processes, it is important how students perceive and utilise feedback. Based on theoretical supply-utilisation models, this book addresses the question of the extent to which students in upper secondary school perceive feedback from teachers in German lessons differently and how this perception affects students' motivation development. The findings from latent change models provide information on the stability and change in feedback perception over the course of a school term as well as on differences in feedback perception between students. In addition, the longitudinal analyses highlight the interplay between different dimensions of feedback quality and the development of learning motivation. The findings expand the state of research on the perception of feedback and the development of differentiated effects on motivation and also open up a wide range of suggestions for educational practice.

    Description: In the period following the Second World War Giulio Preti was one of the leading exponents of Italian philosophy. A master of open critical thought, cultivated in the light of a rationalism that dialogued with, and integrated into his own philosophical model, many of the currents and stances of the global research scenario. Phenomenology, Marxism, pragmatism, neopositivism, transcendentalism and structuralism: in Preti all of these found an organic and original synthesis. Further, his particular brand of rationalist-critical thought touched on many aspects of philosophical knowledge: theoretical philosophy, the philosophy of science, that of language and that of art, from ethics to politics and even taking in the history of philosophy, offering authoritative contributions in every sphere. One hundred years after his birth, the University of Florence and the heir to the Faculty in which he lectured at length, the Faculty of Education, has decided to honour his memory with this anthology of studies, penned by former pupils and others and also by younger scholars, to once again focus the wealth of this thought and its, in many respects, current relevance. Even now, this particular brand of open, critical rationalism can offer a benchmark for addressing the new issues for philosophical reflection thrown up by modern society and culture.

Hugo à Paris, publication du roman de Stendhal Le Rouge et le Noir, etc. Cette riche actualité tant politique que littéraire, placée sous le signe du romantisme, va de pair, en France, avec une intense activité éditoriale (libéralisation des lois sur la presse) et une ouverture vers l’étranger qui se reflète tout particulièrement dans la publication de traductions. Que/qui traduit-on en langue française en 1830 ? Quelles sont les langues les mieux représentées ? Les traducteurs les plus actifs ? Incluant les pays francophones frontaliers (Suisse, Belgique) mais aussi les pays européens (voire extra-européens) ayant eu des liens linguistiques avec la France, ce sondage sur l’année 1830 effectué dans divers supports éditoriaux allant des revues aux anthologies en passant par les manuels scolaires, permet de dresser une première esquisse du paysage traductologique de langue française à un moment charnière du XIXe siècle. Le colloque « Traduire en langue française en 1830 » a été organisé par Christine Lombez, Professeur de Littérature comparée à l’Université de Nantes, dans le cadre du projet HTLF (Histoire des Traductions en Langue française, à paraître aux éditions Verdier).

    La Tradizione del De Medicina Equorum di Giordano Ruffo (2021)

    Description: Fra il 1250 e il 1256 Giordano Ruffo, nobile calabrese al servizio dell’imperatore Federico II, portava a compimento in latino il De medicina equorum, l’opera che segna la rinascita della trattatistica veterinaria medievale. Essa godette di una diffusione talmente ampia da potersi ritenere un vero e proprio best seller, la cui fortuna si evince dal numero di testimoni superstiti censiti, ben 189 (173 manoscritti e 16 a stampa) in 8 varietà linguistiche differenti: latino, italoromanzo, francese, occitanico, catalano, gallego, ebraico e tedesco. A fronte di una tradizione così ricca e articolata, il trattato risulta poco studiato. Manca l’edizione critica del testo latino e sono pochissime, solo cinque, le traduzioni edite: tale situazione editoriale rende assai difficoltosa l’identificazione dei percorsi che hanno caratterizzato la diffusione romanza e non romanza dell’opera e problematica l’individuazione delle famiglie dei testimoni. Il volume intende fare il punto della situazione sulla frastagliata tradizione testuale del De medicina equorum: dopo aver fornito dettagliate informazioni su Giordano Ruffo e il suo trattato, si presentano i dati ricavati dalla collazione di un campione di codici e i risultati di un minuzioso censimento dei testimoni manoscritti e a stampa che tramandano l’opera e delle edizioni moderne ad essa relative.

    Description: What relations (of difference) between students develop in such practices of ‘Planarbeit’ in individualized secondary school teaching in which students relate to instructional tasks and to each other? In this study, a (video-)ethnographic approach is chosen to explore the contribution of students to the formation of social order in the classroom. The findings show that the ‘Selbstständigkeit’ (independence) of students in individualized plan-teaching, which relies on students not only showing themselves responsible for their own progression, but also as ‘mit-zuständig’ (co-responsible) for the progression of the work processes of their classmates, is relational: The continuation, the resuming and the appropriateness of individual progressions is socially accounted for and practiced in task-related references between students – which is associated not only with specific practices, but also with relations of difference between those involved.

    Description: “Dilemas, apuestas y reflexiones teórico-metodológicas para los abordajes en Historia Reciente” se preocupa por presentar los dilemas teóricos y metodológicos, las potencialidades y la utilización de las fuentes para la escritura de la Historia Reciente, los condicionantes en las agendas académicas con el propósito de dejar explicitadas las preocupaciones con las que se trabaja en escritura de la historia del pasado reciente y dar cuenta cómo se construyen los objetos de estudio. El libro está organizado en dos partes. La primera dedicada a discutir conceptos, categorías y perspectivas teóricas, y la segunda orientada a reflexionar sobre posibilidades y limitaciones del heterogéneo y complejo universo de materiales utilizados en la escritura de los diferentes capítulos de ese pasado doloroso y que no pasa. No obstante esta división, los recorridos analíticos, teórico-metodológicos e historiográficos atraviesan todos los capítulos del libro, pero lo hacen desde aproximaciones disímiles, que aportan de manera significativa, sea a la reflexión crítica sobre cuestiones estructurantes de la investigación sobre el pasado reciente (la represión, sus dimensiones, modalidades y características; la militancia humanitaria, las relaciones entre violencia y política, los exilios; la temporalidad del pasado-presente; los trabajos de la memoria, la transmisión intergeneracional de pasados traumáticos), sea al conocimiento específico de capítulos concretos de la historia de las dictaduras argentina y chilena.

    Description: El Apostadero Naval Malvinas, la Primera Unidad Naval creada en suelo malvinense el 2 de abril de 1982, fue un centro logístico de la guerra en el Atlántico Sur. Este libro reconstruye la historia del grupo Apostadero Naval Malvinas desde que sus integrantes regresaron al continente luego de la rendición en junio de 1982 hasta el año 2013, cuando se cumplieron 30 años de sus encuentros anuales, tomando como eje el clivaje experiencia-identidad-memoria. La investigación recoge las experiencias de posguerra de los civiles y militares que formaron parte del Apostadero, explorando las formas en que la vivencia bélica significó una marca en sus vidas, en sus identidades y sus memorias. A partir de allí, aborda las redefiniciones y modificaciones identitarias que atravesó este grupo de personas a lo largo de la posguerra, haciendo foco en las reuniones anuales del 20 de junio. Esto permite historizar la construcción de una memoria común de la guerra y de la propia experiencia bélica por parte de los miembros del grupo Apostadero.

    Description: Este libro es el resultado de investigaciones individuales pero colectivamente coordinadas con el propósito de analizar los vínculos entre las distintas formas de ejercicio de la autoridad institucional existentes en el ámbito rural rioplatense, el proceso de equipamiento político de los territorios y la construcción de liderazgos locales en los bordes territoriales de Buenos Aires y Santa Fe. Esta frontera se presenta en este libro como una problemática de doble entrada: por una parte, frontera con el indio; por la otra, frontera entre territorios en construcción que disputan recursos y preminencias de gobierno sobre poblaciones móviles. El estudio se plantea desde el inicio de las primeras reformas borbónicas con la militarización del territorio e incluye los años clave de 1815 y 1820, durante los cuales ambos territorios se definen como provincias autónomas.

    Description: El presente trabajo es la transcripción paleográfica de un documento de comienzos del siglo XV conservado en el Archivo de la Catedral de Salamanca. Se trata de una pesquisa realizada por el racionero Alfonso González que tiene por objeto dejar constancia escrita de los bienes y derechos que poseía el Cabildo al momento de su redacción. A través de la declaración de los testigos en los 118 lugares visitados es posible conocer la fisonomía y los contornos del dominio señorial, las modalidades de gestión del patrimonio, los mecanismos de acumulación y los procesos de diferenciación social, la estructura de la propiedad de la tierra, etc. Se constituye, por tanto, en una pieza clave para el conocimiento de la historia económico-social del espacio salmantino durante la Baja Edad Media.

    Description: Se puede reconstruir la situación general de la Argentina durante los años 1913-1923, pero menos estudiado ha sido el comportamiento de la crisis en las economías regionales dependiente del mercado interno. El presente libro intenta subsanar esa situación respecto de la vitivinicultura de Mendoza. Él recoge investigaciones inéditas y otras presentadas en reuniones científicas, publicadas en revistas especializadas o como capítulos de libros. El periodo elegido cubre el comienzo de la crisis del sector en 1913, la recuperación con el fin de la Gran Guerra, y los coletazos posteriores de la crisis hasta comienzos de 1923, cuando se derogó la legislación vitivinícola sancionada durante esos años.

Esta investigación realiza una valoración desde los postulados de Jutta Bluert y Fuentes (2011) y Christian Felber (2012) para verificar la viabilidad de la incorporación del concepto de bien común a los modelos de enseñanza a través del fortalecimiento del sentido de pertenencia, la conciencia y perspectiva de la generación y uso de los recursos, la salvaguarda de las tradiciones y los saberes colectivos; así como el cuidado de la naturaleza poniendo en el centro de la toma de decisiones a la comunidad y su entorno. Con ello, fomentar modelos de enseñanza comunitarios como políticas públicas, implica incorporar las características de bien común.

Quel sens peut avoir pour l’école républicaine cette nouveauté ? N’est-ce que l’aboutissement normal d’une scolarisation primaire organisée depuis Guizot, ou bien est-ce un indice significatif du "nouveau régime" que Jules Ferry annonçait pour l’école ? Rupture ou continuité ? L’analyse fait apparaître une tension remarquable entre la réalité des prescriptions (textes officiels, programmes, etc.), qui maintiennent les sciences dans la tradition modeste et utilitaire de l’école du peuple, et les représentations idéales d’un projet éducatif et culturel qui se veut inédit et qui tend à enrôler l’enseignement scientifique primaire au service de l’humanisme moral, rationaliste, laïque et scientiste qui a marqué la IIIe République naissante.     Description: Based on a qualitative, longitudinal and constructivist research approach, the project at hand explores the decision-making process within the inclusive transition from secondary school I to further education from the perspectives of teenagers with disabilities and parents (with/without disabilities). The narratives of 5 families (3 teenagers with disabilities, 3 fathers, 5 mothers with/without disabilities) are of interest. The interviews were conducted three times (every year) during the transition-/decision-making process along the method of intensive interviewing (Charmaz 2014). The analysis of the qualitative data (32 interviews) was based on the coding process according to Charmaz (2014). Through data analysis three types of decision-making could be identified (giving up decision, forcing decision, taking over decision) as subforms of two higher-level decision-making mechanisms named make an independent decision and make a(n) (independent) decision with support. The expectation of an independent decision-making individual is central for teenagers with disabilities and their parents. Different types of “volition” are connected to the decision-making processes, depending on if the teenagers with disabilities make an independent decision (really want it), make a decision with support ((don’t) want it) or make a decision owing to given opinions (have to). Due to the longitudinal research design the educational trajectories of teenagers with disabilities are also reconstructed.
    Description: Ausgehend von einem qualitativ, längsschnittlich und konstruktivistischen Forschungsdesign untersucht die vorliegende Studie das Erleben von Entscheidungsprozessen am inklusiv verstandenen Übergang von Sekundarstufe I in weitere schulische Bildung aus Sicht von Jugendlichen mit Behinderung und Eltern (mit/ohne Behinderung). Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Erzählungen von 5 Familien (3 Jugendliche mit Behinderung, 3 Väter, 5 Mütter mit/ohne Behinderung), die im Übergangs-/Entscheidungsprozess drei Mal im Abstand von einem Jahr mittels intensiv interviewing (Charmaz 2014) befragt wurden. Zur Auswertung des qualitativen Datenmaterials (32 Interviews) wurde auf die Kodierschritte von Charmaz (2014) zurückgegriffen. Die Datenanalyse offenbart drei Varianten des Entscheidens (entscheiden abgeben, entscheiden forcieren, entscheiden müssen) als Ausdifferenzierungen der übergeordneten Entscheidungsformen selbstständig entscheiden und unterstützend (selbstständig) entscheiden. Zentral ist die Erwartung eines selbstständigen Entscheidungssubjekts, an der sich die Jugendlichen mit Behinderung und Eltern orientieren. Damit einher gehen unterschiedliche Varianten des Wollens, wenn Jugendliche mit Behinderung als Entscheidungssubjekte selbstständig (es wirklich wollen), mit Unterstützung (es (nicht) wollen) oder innerhalb vorselektierter Optionen (es müssen) eine Wahl treffen. Durch das längsschnittliche Forschungsdesign können zudem die Bildungsverläufe der Jugendlichen mit Behinderung nachgezeichnet werden.

    Description: Nowadays poverty can be defined as a construct that can no longer be ascribed to the material scarcity of resources but to the lack of all available relational, social and cultural resources, that are an expression of a “suffering” territory. This fragility testifies to a problem of educational sustainability that requires an exit from the emergency logic of “buffer interventions” by activating social, training and professional networks, capable of responding to the educational needs expressed by the territory. For this reason, in the epistemic framework of Civil and Digital-Civil Pedagogy, the need emerges for new professional profiles capable of being “managers” of integrated territorial development, educators-planners of territorial educational services with a view to social sustainability and the educational human transition.

    Description: For about two decades, say Johnson and Pace, the discussion of how to address prose style in teaching college writing has been stuck, with style standing in as a proxy for other stakes in the theory wars. The traditional argument is evidently still quite persuasive to some-that teaching style is mostly a matter of teaching generic conventions through repetition and practice. Such a position usually presumes the traditional view of composition as essentially a service course, one without content of its own. On the other side, the shortcomings of this argument have been much discussed-that it neglects invention, revision, context, meaning, even truth; that it is not congruent with research; that it ignores 100 years of scholarship establishing composition's intellectual territory beyond "service." The discussion is stuck there, and all sides have been giving it a rest in recent scholarship. Yet style remains of vital practical interest to the field, because everyone has to teach it one way or another. A consequence of the impasse is that a theory of style itself has not been well articulated. Johnson and Pace suggest that moving the field toward a better consensus will require establishing style as a clearer subject of inquiry. Accordingly, this collection takes up a comprehensive study of the subject. Part I explores the recent history of composition studies, the ways it has figured and all but effaced the whole question of prose style. Part II takes to heart Elbow's suggestion that composition and literature, particularly as conceptualized in the context of creative writing courses, have something to learn from each other. Part III sketches practical classroom procedures for heightening students' abilities to engage style, and part IV explores new theoretical frameworks for defining this vital and much neglected territory. The hope of the essays here-focusing as they do on historical, aesthetic, practical, and theoretical issues-is to awaken composition studies to the possibilities of style, and, in turn, to rejuvenate a great many classrooms.

Three subject areas of documentary school research are the focus of this first volume: School Development, School Culture and School as Organisation.     Description: This volume, a follow up to Reimagining Science Education in the Anthropocene (2021), continues a transdisciplinary conversation around reconceptualizing science education in the era of the Anthropocene. This work continues the mission of transforming the ways communities inherit science and technology education: its knowledges, practices, policies, and ways-of-living-with-Nature.     Description: Mit der international vergleichenden Schulleistungsstudie ICILS 2018 (International Computer and Information Literacy Study) wurden zum zweiten Mal die computer- und informationsbezogenen Kompetenzen von Achtklässlerinnen und Achtklässlern in Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich untersucht. Zudem wurden erstmals im Rahmen eines internationalen Zusatzmoduls die Kompetenzen im Bereich ‚Computational Thinking‘ getestet. Darüber hinaus wurden mit der Studie ICILS 2018 umfangreiche Rahmendaten zum Erwerb dieser Kompetenzen mittels Hintergrundfragebögen für Schülerinnen und Schüler, Lehrpersonen, Schulleitungen und IT-Koordinatorinnen und IT-Koordinatoren erfasst. Zudem wurden erstmals im Rahmen eines internationalen Zusatzmoduls, an dem sich auch Deutschland beteiligte, die Kompetenzen im Bereich ‚Computational Thinking‘ erhoben. Mit dieser Publikation werden die im Rahmen der Studie in Deutschland eingesetzten Erhebungsinstrumente dokumentiert. Die Dokumentation der Instrumente umfasst sowohl die international eingesetzten Instrumente in der deutschen Fassung als auch die nationalen Ergänzungen, die zusätzlich für Deutschland entwickelt wurden. Diese Dokumentation ergänzt die von der IEA (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement) vorgelegten Materialen zur Studie. Die nationale Dokumentation der Erhebungsinstrumente richtet sich an Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler ebenso wie an interessierte Akteurinnen und Akteure aus der Bildungsadministration und der schulischen Praxis.

    Description: How do patterns of national inclusion and exclusion make themselves felt at school? What experiences do students have in their everyday school life? How are they shaped by these experiences? This empirical study examines processes of subjectivation in schooling biographies of young Kurdish women in Turkey and asks how relations of inclusion and exclusion in the nation-state are inscribed in subjects through school. It shows the relevance of processes of appropriation and resistance for the formation of self-conceptions in the face of natio-ethno-cultural (non-)belonging and closes with thoughts on marginalized agency.
