    Description: The reuse of process models is a promising technique to reduce modelling effort. Yet, finding similar models in large model collections is not feasible manually. A search functionality for relevant models, which can be used as a template, is therefore helpful.     Millimeter-Wave Radio-over-Fiber Links based on Mode-Locked Laser Diodes (2021)

    Description: Radio communications in the range of 60 GHz enable multi-Gigabit/s network access in indoor environments. Due to the propagation characteristics of such signals only very short range radio transmission is feasible. In order to distribute these signals across large distances, analog transmission over optical fiber is considered. In this work, mode-locked laser diodes serve as optoelectronic oscillators for the generation of such signals. Their system-relevant properties are studied in detail.

    Description: This work is about random measures stationary with respect to a possibly non-transitive group action. It contains chapters on Palm Theory, the Mass-Transport Principle and Ergodic Theory for such random measures. The thesis ends with discussions of several new models in Stochastic Geometry (Cox Delauney mosaics, isometry stationary random partitions on Riemannian manifolds). These make crucial use of the previously developed techniques and objects.

    Description: The design of approaches for future market-based energy network operation faces the technical challenge of needing to coordinate a vast number of network participants spatially and temporally, in order to balance energy supply and demand, while achieving secure network operation.     Description: The electrical energy on electrified bicycles offers new functional possibilities such as an active safety system to assist the rider during the braking process. This work shows the technical feasibility of such a system by presenting a rideable prototype. The so-called braking dynamics assistance system prevents the cyclist from both front wheel lockup and rollover (along the vehicle’s transverse axis).

    Description: Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurde eine Plattform zur individuellen Ansteuerung einer Vielzahl thermisch aktivierter Mikroventile und aktoren, auf Grundlage eines Phasenüberganges, zum Einsatz in der Mikrofluidik entwickelt. Ventile dienen dazu den Fluidstrom in komplexen mikrofluidischen Systemen, aus Einsatzgebieten wie der Biologie, Chemie oder Biotechnologie, zu manipulieren. Mit steigender Komplexität der Mikrosysteme steigt auch die Anzahl der benötigten, individuell steuerbaren Mikroventile.
