    Description: The publication publishes excursions of the Ljubljana Geographical Society, carried out between April 2015 and May 2019. If we break down individual contributions according to their main characteristics, we can point out some interesting findings. Let us first mention their concentration in the western part of Slovenia. Southwestern Slovenia stands out as an area of strong regional dominance, with the participants taking advantage of two excursions to the wide-open state border with Italy, created by Slovenia's entry into the Schengen area. The variety of excursions according to the method of implementation is also noticeable. As a rule, classic bus transport is enriched by walking. Completely different logistics were needed to carry out a cycling excursion through the Slovenian and Italian Karst. There is a continuing tendency for geographical knowledge to increasingly complement the content of other disciplines, especially archeology and ethnology, which certainly enriches excursions due to a different view of the landscape and emphases that geographers usually ignore or do not know much about.
    Description: V publikaciji so objavljene ekskurzije Ljubljanskega geografskega društva, izvedene med aprilom 2015 in majem 2019. Če posamezne prispevke skušamo razčleniti po njihovih poglavitnih značilnostih, lahko izpostavimo nekaj zanimivih spoznanj. Naj najprej izpostavimo njihovo osredotočenost v zahodnem delu Slovenije. Kot območje izrazite regionalne prevlade izstopa jugozahodna Slovenija, pri čemer so udeleženci kar dveh ekskurzij s pridom izkoristili na široko razprto državno mejo z Italijo, nastalo z vstopom Slovenije v šengensko območje. Zaznavna je tudi raznovrstnost ekskurzij glede na način izvedbe. Klasične avtobusne prevoze praviloma popestri pešačenje. Povsem drugačna logistika je bila potrebna za izvedbo kolesarske ekskurzije po slovenskem in italijanskem Krasu. Nadaljuje se težnja, da geografska spoznanja v vse večji meri dopolnjujejo vsebine drugih disciplin, predvsem arheologije in etnologije, kar ekskurzije zagotovo bogati tako zaradi drugačnega videnja pokrajine kot poudarkov, ki jih geografi na svojih poteh navadno prezremo ali o njih ne vemo prav veliko.

    Description: V tokratni knjižici so pripravljeni opisi ekskurzij v slovenske robne pokrajine: Prekmurje, Belo krajino, Kočevsko, Bloško planoto, Baško grapo in Koprsko primorje. Razvrščene so od severovzhoda proti jugozahodu~nekoliko izstopa Baška grapa, edina obravnavana pokrajina v severozahodni Sloveniji. Strokovne opise so pripravili poznavalci, ki bodisi živijo v tamkajšnjem okolju bodisi od tam izvirajo njihove korenine in so z njimi še vedno ohranili tesne vezi, tudi v poglobljenem zanimanju zanje. Podrobni opisi posameznih ekskurzij navajajo priporočljive točke za postanke in temeljitejše oglede značilnih pojavov in procesov, ob tem pa nazorno predstavijo aktualne tematike. Ob številnih zemljevidih, skicah, shemah, grafikonih in fotografijah je podajanje dovolj poljudno, da je razumljivo tudi povprečno razgledanemu bralcu.

    Description: Digitalni podatki ('Digital Data') is the thirteenth volume in the series GIS v Sloveniji (GIS in Slovenia). The goal of this volume is to present the wide variety of research findings on geographical information systems in Slovenia in recent years. Digital data is one of the main pillars of geographical information systems, and so this volume describes opportunities to put such data to use. Recently lidar scanning technology has increased the precision and diversity of analysis. The volume clearly presents project results and research in areas such as geography, hydrology, protection against natural disasters, archaeology, transport, settlement, remote sensing, and others. Readers will discover new features regarding GIS applicability and learn about interesting findings in these areas.
    Description: Knjiga Digitalni podatki je že 13. v zbirki GIS v Sloveniji. Tudi namen te knjige je predstaviti najrazličnejša spoznanja raziskovalcev v svetu geografskih informacijskih sistemov na območju Slovenije v zadnjih letih. Digitalni podatki so eden izmed osnovnih stebrov geografskih informacijskih sistemov, zato v knjigi prikazujemo, kakšne so možnosti njihove uporabe.     Description: The authors of the volume ('From May ’68 to November ’89: Transformations of the World, Literature, and Theory') intervene in the study of the student movement’s “rehearsal” for a world revolution and its afterlife in the 1980s and 1990s by addressing two hitherto neglected aspects – the literary and the peripheral. They consider the roles played by the (semi-)periphery of the modern world-system, on the one hand, and modernist literature and theory, on the other, in transforming the existing world order in the fields of culture, politics, economy, and everyday life. How were critical theory and neo-avant-garde literature in the world, in Slovenia, and in Yugoslavia intertwined with the student protest that advocated the transformation of the capitalist world-system and its socialist counterpart? The monograph focuses on the processes that connected the events of 1968 and 1989 in the social, literary, and theoretical spheres in the sign of continuity and turning points, and at the same time defined our contemporary world.

Sprašujejo se, katere vloge sta pri transformaciji obstoječe svetovne ureditve na področjih kulture, politike, gospodarstva in vsakdanjega življenja odigrali (pol)periferija modernega svetovnega-sistema na eni strani ter modernistična literatura in teorija na drugi. Kako sta bili kritična teorija in neoavantgardna literatura po svetu, na Slovenskem in v Jugoslaviji prepleteni s študentskim protestništvom, ki se je zavzemalo za transformacijo kapitalističnega svetovnega-sistema in njegove socialistične alternative?     Description: Molnik is a hill in the hinterland of Ljubljana in central Slovenia that has been known as an archaeological site for quite some time. Systematic investigations ensued in the 1980s and 1990s, led by Ivan Puš, then curator in the Mestni muzej Ljubljana. They revealed ramparts and habitation terraces on the summit of the hill, as well as flat and tumulus graves on five locations around the summit that date to the Early Iron Age and some finds from later periods.

    Description: Managing Cultural Heritage AreasComprehensive planning for cultural heritage areas must bring together social, cultural, economic, transport, and environmental aspects and promote active inclusion of various, and even conflicting, interest groups in a guided participatory process. In order for managers of such areas to best equip themselves with useful information, this book presents various topics that are important from the perspective of cultural heritage management: classification of cultural heritage, the role of UNESCO and its guidelines in protecting cultural heritage, and theoretical views on cultural heritage preservation. This is followed by a planning section, which presents environmental planning in areas with cultural heritage, the role of cultural heritage and protecting it, revitalization of old urban cores, and restoration of historical buildings and town centers.
    Description: Celovito načrtovanje območij s kulturno dediščino mora združevati družbene, kulturne, gospodarske, prometne in okoljske vidike ter spodbujati aktivno vključevanje različnih, tudi nasprotujočih si interesnih skupin v voden participativni proces. Da bi upravljavce tovrstnih območij čim bolje opremili s koristnimi informacijami, so v knjigi predstavljene različne teme, pomembne z vidika upravljanja kulturne dediščine, in sicer: tipizacija kulturne dediščine, vloga Unesca in njegove smernice pri varovanju kulturne dediščine ter teoretski pogledi na ohranjanje kulturne dediščine. Sledi planerski del, kjer predstavljamo okoljsko načrtovanje na območjih s kulturno dediščino, vlogo in varstvo kulturne pokrajine, revitalizacijo starih mestnih jeder, obnovo zgodovinskih stavb in središč.     Description: Within the framework of the basic research project The Župna cerkev Cemetery n Kranj, intended for the publication and research of materials from archaeological excavations of the eponymous burial ground, digital primary forms of archival sources are presented.[In Slovenian only] The first issue presents documentation of the 1953 excavation. Zbornik vsebuje okrog 100 prispevkov, katerih avtorji so jezikoslovci iz Severne Amerike, Evrope, Rusije, Južne Koreje in Japonske, ki se ukvarjajo z znanstvenim preučevanjem slovanskih jezikov. V prispevkih so v duhu omogočanja enakih možnosti vsem in ohranjanja metodološkega pluralizma v znanosti zastopane različne jezikoslovne poddiscipline, teoretični modeli in metodološki pristopi, saj je glavni namen delovanja združevanja prav vzpostavljanje tvornega dialoga med njimi.

    Proizvodnja nagrobnih spomenikov v notranjosti rimske province Dalmacije (2022)

    Description: The present study deals with the question of the organization of the stonemasonry production of funerary monuments in the interior of the former Roman province of Dalmatia. The aim of the research was to identify a model of stonemasonry production that originated in a mountainous and difficult to traverse area, where the possibilities of water transport of stone material are minimal. The author started from the assumption that production centres formed in some geographical areas during Roman rule, using local limestone sources for their operation. The study includes funerary monuments discovered in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the western part of Serbia and Montenegro. By combining the methods of macroscopic petrographic analysis of the stone material and typological and spatial analysis, the existence of several production centres was proven. The results of the analyses indicate a very likely that they exploited the local limestone resources. Epigraphic data also made it possible to define their chronological aspect.
    Description: Pričujoče delo se ukvarja z vprašanjem organizacije kamnoseške proizvodnje nagrobnih spomenikov na prostoru notranjega dela nekdanje rimske province Dalmacije. Cilj raziskave je bil prepoznati model kamnoseške proizvodnje, ki se je oblikoval na goratem in težko prehodnem območju, kjer so možnosti vodnega transporta kamnitega materiala minimalne. Avtorica izhajala iz predpostavke, da so se v času rimske oblasti na nekaterih geografskih območji oblikovala proizvodna središča, ki so za svoje delovanje uporabljala lokalne vira apnenca. Študija zajema nagrobne spomenike, odkrite na prostoru današnje Bosne in Hercegovine in zahodnega dela Srbije in Črne gore. S kombinacijo metod makroskopske petrografske analize kamnin in tipološke analize ter prostorske analize je pokazala na obstoj več proizvodnih središč. Rezultati analiz kažejo na zelo verjetno možnost, da so izkoriščali lokalne vire apnenca. Epigrafski podatki pa so omogočili njihov obstoj tudi časovno opredeliti.
