    Description: The volume, dedicated to the 44th International Conference of the Italian Union for Drawing, investigates the theme of ‘Transitions’, which particularly effectively represents our time and the current condition of the discipline of Drawing. The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

    Description: This book arose from the Latin American Network for the study and intervention in happiness and well-being consolidated at the end of the year 2020. The beginning of this happy work team was given from the concerns of a group of researchers from the National Open and Distance University, belonging to the Emotional Development and Education Psychology Group who were interested in the analysis and study of different problems related to quality of life and well-being. From these concerns, the event called International Colloquium: Happiness and Human Well-being was born, whose first edition was held in 2016 and has subsequently been held biannually (2018 and 2020), already completing three versions, in which different researchers and lecturers on the subject participated. and the particular approaches proposed for each edition.
    Description: Este libro surgió desde la Red latinoamericana de estudio e intervención en felicidad y bienestar consolidada a finales del año 2020. El inicio de este feliz equipo de trabajo se dio a partir de las inquietudes de un grupo de investigadores de la Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia, pertenecientes al Grupo Psicología Desarrollo Emocional y Educación que se interesaron en el análisis y estudio de diferentes problemas relacionados con la calidad de vida y el bienestar. De estas inquietudes nació el evento denominado Coloquio Internacional: Felicidad y Bienestar Humano, cuya primera edición se realizó en 2016 y posteriormente se ha realizado bianualmente (2018 y 2020), cumpliendo ya tres versiones, en las cuales participaron diferentes investigadores y conferencistas sobre el tema y los enfoques particulares propuestos para cada edición.

    Description: Mental health condenses and questions not only conditions related to the field of health but also corresponds to the subjective translation of social, political, and economic conditions with which it is linked. The chilean social upheaval, feminist revolt, and currently the pandemic have revealed pre-existing social fractures, inequities, and exclusions. Similarly, mental health as a psychosocial issue demands approaches that integrate social life with the singularities of subjective experience. This book is the result of a research process on mental health in the context of university life and includes interdisciplinary and multisectoral approaches in an effort to address the issue in its complexity. The biographical and subjective trajectories of students at the University of Chile are joined by the voices of actors and actresses who, from their institutional and professional roles, provide an account of a multiple and diverse reality, as well as the need to collectively address a problem that concerns everyone. Hence, the relevance of recognizing and complementing, through the contribution of the Social Sciences and situated experiences, the possibility of thinking differently (innovation) about a problem often co-opted by exclusively epidemiological perspectives. Because it is rather about recognizing in the approach to student mental health a political demand - and an opportunity - at both the level of specific preventive and therapeutic practices, and within the framework of institutional and community-based plans and programs to be implemented.

    Description: La salud mental condensa e interroga no solamente condiciones relativas al campo de la salud, sino que corresponde a la traducción subjetiva de condiciones sociales, políticas, económicas con las cuales se encuentra ligada. El estallido social, la revuelta feminista y actualmente la pandemia han dado cuenta de las fracturas sociales, inequidades y exclusiones pre-existentes; del mismo modo, la salud mental como problema psicosocial reclama de abordajes que integren la vida social con las singularidades propias de la experiencia subjetiva. Este libro es el resultado de un proceso de investigación sobre salud mental en el contexto de la vida universitaria e incluye aproximaciones interdisciplinarias y multisectoriales en un esfuerzo por abordar la problemática en su complejidad. A las trayectorias biográficas y subjetivas de estudiantes de la Universidad de Chile se suman las voces de actores y actoras que, desde su rol institucional y profesional, dan cuenta de una realidad múltiple y diversa así como de la necesidad de abordar comunitariamente un problema que concierne a todos y todas. De ahí la pertinencia de reconocer y complementar a través de la contribución de las Ciencias Sociales y de las experiencias situadas la posibilidad de pensar de otro modo (innovación) un problema a menudo coaptado por perspectivas exclusivamente epidemiológicas. Porque se trata más bien de reconocer en el abordaje de la salud mental estudiantil una exigencia —y una oportunidad— política, tanto a nivel de las prácticas preventivas y terapéuticas específicas, como en el marco de planes y programas a implementar institucional y comunitariamente.

    Description: El libro “Chile: Glosario Ilustrado del Malestar” reúne un conjunto de entradas y comentarios, imágenes e ilustraciones, que recorren las distintas inscripciones de la experiencia del malestar contemporáneo en Chile, enmarcadas en las acciones de investigación e intervención cultural interdisciplinarias que ha venido desarrollando el Laboratorio Transdisciplinar de Prácticas Sociales y Subjetividad (LaPSoS) surgido al alero de la Iniciativa Bicentenario Juan Gómez Millas de la Universidad de Chile. Los textos oscilan entre definiciones “técnicas”, micro-ensayos, opiniones; algunas veces con ironía y otras con la seriedad de las apuestas académicas, políticas o culturales. Optar por mantener esta heterogeneidad, a costa de limitar la consistencia de sus contenidos, implica una decisión editorial no exenta de riesgos. Puede entonces provocar en sus lectores alguna incomodidad o directamente una evaluación crítica. Hemos preferido asumir ese riesgo porque las voces implicadas aquí son múltiples y dejamos al lector valorar –o no- que en esta diversidad de voces se produzca un libro que permita la reflexión, la risa, o incluso el malestar.

    Description: El trabajo que aquí presentamos continúa una línea de investigación socioantropológica que iniciamos a principios de 1990 con maestras de escuelas primarias públicas en Cutral Có y Plaza Huincul, provincia de Neuquén, en la Patagonia argentina. Nuestro propósito es analizar los modos en que los procesos de transformación del Estado nacional1 se articulan de manera compleja con la vida de las maestras durante los últimos 30 años. El objetivo de este trabajo es un tanto ambicioso. Oscila entre el interés por interpretar procesos sociales cuya expresión local cobra especial relevancia porque pueden entenderse como un analizador en el contexto de las transformaciones sociales y del Estado en la Argentina y la necesidad de dar cuenta de tensiones, conflictos y cambios que se articulan entre y a través de diferentes escalas y niveles contextuales.

    Description: En el siglo XX se alcanzó una meta que había guiado los esfuerzos de los gobernantes mexicanos del siglo XIX y del Porfiriato: construir un gobierno federal fuerte que abriera paso a la consolidación del mercado interno y del Estado Nacional. Este trabajo aborda uno de los eslabones de ese proceso, que se refiere a la concentración de los ingresos tributarios en manos federales entre 1922 y 1972. Esta historia tributaria incluye la creación de nuevos impuestos (renta, ingresos mercantiles), supresión de otros (timbre, contribución federal), construcción del sistema de participaciones y el impacto de la reforma agraria en las haciendas estatales y municipales. Además se estudian las tensiones que generó esa tendencia tributaria en la organización federal de la República y entre distintos grupos de contribuyentes. El Ejecutivo federal enfrentó más oposiciones y desacatos de lo que comúnmente se reconoce, lo que obliga a ver con otros ojos a la institución presidencial.

    Description: Este libro revisa las diversas fases del programa estatal para subsanar deficiencias en los procesos de poblamiento, en el periodo 1760-1940, centrando la atención en el norte de México y, más en particular, en el "oeste de Chihuahua", que fue escenario de un vasto asentamiento menonita a partir de 1922, como consecuencia del interés del gobierno mexicano por atraer colonos extranjeros hábiles e industriosos. La colonización después de 1910, que daba muestras de la vigencia de premisas ideológicas del siglo XIX, siempre se distinguió por su carácter elitista y excluyente; además, por eso dejaba de lado a la población realmente existente, ya fueran nómadas, indios sedentarios, campesinos, vecinos de pueblos sin tierra y, en general, los sectores mayoritarios del país.
